Boston University 2010-11 Part III - Is That So Much To Ask?

Re: Boston University 2010-11 Part III - Is That So Much To Ask?

I wouldn't put it as that big of a long shot. Northeastern has their seed locked up already and have nothing to play for before the tourny. Are they going to come out and lay two eggs? No but BU needs these wins more so it wouldn't surprise me to see them to steal one at Matthews(or at least a tie) and then win on Senior night back at Agganis saturday. This is the same team that is 7-0-2 in their last 9 HE games including a win at UNH,a win and a tie at Maine(which seems impressive after what Maine did to MC this weekend up there.) I would say three points is more of a reasonable expectation though.

We heard how little Harvard had to play for and how much BU had to play for in the Beanpot Consolation game, and we saw how that turned out.:(

Beanpot Consolation Game? What Beanpot Consolation Game? (Spoken like Ralphie in "A Christmas Story" - 'Flick, who's Flick'?)

haha did that game actually happen? But it is the beanpot and Harvard had their pride to play for while BU obviously didnt have their heads in it. I wouldnt expect that this weekend but who knows...I know that this team needs at least 3 points this weekend to have a legitimate chance for an atlarge bid heading into the conference tourny where they would need to atleast get to the semis if not the final to really solidify things

Re: Boston University 2010-11 Part III - Is That So Much To Ask?

Why not compute 5 on 3 efficiency like a baseball ERA is calculated?

That would be a good idea. However, I've already done more math today than I've done in like the last four years total, so my brain's pretty much fried at this point. Maybe in a couple days when it recovers. Or someone else could figure it out.

Re: Boston University 2010-11 Part III - Is That So Much To Ask?

haha that is alot of possibilities... I dont want Maine except for the fact they are a TUC and it would be here. Northeastern would not be fun to play either though. Lets hope for a sweep one way or another in the BC/UNH series. UVM and UMASS are alot weaker than NU and Maine thats for sure as previously stated by alot of people.

Assuming it's NU or Maine, I really am gonna pull for Maine to play us just for the sake of getting as many TUC games as possible since I don't feel great about our current pairwise positioning. Maybe two wins would flip a couple comparisons for us. Plus it seems like NU always plays to their maximum potential against us whereas I don't always see that in Maine. Of course the 'Mounters or UMass would be my preference in a perfect world (GO WILDCATS)

but almost never win, something like 2-10-4 in the last 16. It's BC that they seem to play to their max against, IMO

While that may be the case I don't think anyone wants to play anyone else 4 or 5 games in a row its not a recipe for success for anyone.

Did you watch the game Saturday night? Would have been 6-1 if Madore wasn't very good

Did you watch the game Friday night? Would have been 4-2 if Millan wasn't very good....against a "weak" opponent.

Which one of these retards is you?

Well it has to be a recipe for success for one of the two teams....

Re: Boston University 2010-11 Part III - Is That So Much To Ask?

Anyway, playing UML 4/5 times in a row should be a recipe for success for most teams...except PC.

Re: Boston University 2010-11 Part III - Is That So Much To Ask?

Well, it's possible that they can go 2-2 without meeting a 5th time.

If that was the case one team would be headed to the Garden. That would be the successful team. Regardless, I have to imagine BU will be hosting ME for the QF's. MC plays PC for two and it wouldn't be like Army to win a game in March. So unless BU sweeps NU .....

Re: Boston University 2010-11 Part III - Is That So Much To Ask?

I dreamt last night BC won the NC. They beat Clarkson 3-1, and the teams were playing in tennis shoes because there was no ice. Bizarre. Maybe I'll cut down on the Wild Turkey.
