Always nice to get a nod from a classy BU fan! We think it is pretty cool too.

i'm not as pretty as scarlet but you have a nod on your own thread as well ..............it was never acknowledged though but no matter. it isnt just BU fans that think it's cool

Here here!

And on another note, that fog game was my freshman year of college, I think I spent 5 dollars to watch the feed online...I never got my refund.

Hey don't look at us, our rink was just fine the next night.

Fed League, just out of curiosity, why is it that Kevin Gilroy has been sitting? What does he do wrong, or what are the things he doesn't do right, that make him a scratch? My opinion is that he's not really a 4th line banger, grinder. What's your opinion?

Thought this was noteworthy enough to bring over from the BC thread:

According to a poster on EagleOutsider (don't think he posts here) Vinny Saponari couldn't get in and won't be here next year.

I hope that the team takes tonight's UNH/Brown game results as incentive not to look past Saturday to next weekend!

I think it's probably the last thing you mentioned. He might have more offensive skill than Santana and Courtnall, but he doesn't play defense or grind like Santana and he doesn't hit like Courtnall. Glass is probably slightly more skilled offensively, and Glass also throws his body around more. Rosen and Gilroy have similar skill sets. Parker said he wanted to get Rosen in because he was working hard and doing well in practice. Maybe Gilroy isn't working as hard as Parker would like, but that's just speculation on my part and could be totally off.

I have to say... that I missed not having the "Tuesday Before Thanksgiving" game that has been on the schedule for the past umpteen years. I didn't know what to do with myself tonight.

I think the problem is Gilroy doesn't really have a place on the team. He has the game of a second or third line player, but he's not good enough to play on the second or third line on this team.

I missed it, too! I was sitting around, trying to decide what to do tonight and was thinking that I should be headed to a hockey game. Got a haircut instead. Not as exciting.

That's true, on "Any Given Sunday".. or Saturday...this is college hockey, therefore expect the unexpected. Brown finished 3rd in ECAC Championships last season and appear to only have gotten better. Hopefully JP will drill this fact into the team and not take Brown (or any team) lightly...

I guarantee Parker is drilling it into their heads. He was already starting to after the UNH game. No matter who they're playing, Parker finds a way to make that team sound like one of the best in the country.

Good to hear (and figured as much)... that's another reason he's as good a coach as he is and has been for so long....

Re: Boston University 2010-11 part II - The Hunt For Red November

I'd like to think he's replaying the November 2008 games against....who was it? Holy Cross? Remember they had those couple of games that season that were too close for comfort? As I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone, I'm nervous about this game. With Connolly out, who plays?

To state the obvious, if Vinny "couldn't get in," that really means they had second thoughts, either about his play or his attitude. I wonder if some other school take a chance with him.

I'll bet he lands at Maine or St. Cloud State.

I agree 'couldn't get in' is a bit confusing and is probably a cover for something like you said. There's no way York offers him a spot on the team without getting some form of a green light first.

So are they on track to beat the 9-tie season? Five already and it's only November.
