The fun and games are over. Welcome to the real world kid. It's all business from here on out. Best of luck to you.

sad but true D 1 is not much different. only dufference is the arrogance that they portray and that it is the only way to go. feel it is best route for most byt not all. if the milanos and hanafin types are planning on one, maybe two years, is BC really any more than a junior program. not really.

i get the class portion but thats a joke as well for most in that catagory

"the kid" is stunned but really, i don't think anybody should be surprised by this. i don't feel bad for BC and i have no ill will towards Milano. It is what it is. perhaps this will be a reality check for the staff in general in terms of who they go after. by and large they've targeted the right kids and avoided situations like this. got burnt here. mesmerized by his talent i guess. learn and move on!

So will his spot be taken up by someone else this year ? Or they wait until next year now since it is late to replace him at this point.

"Go to school, get an education, have a blast, win a National Championship and THEN go pro. Has seemed to work out for a few guys lately.."

Shame about Milano. Hard to be too surprised given the history and all the rumors. Best of luck to him I guess. I just wish he hadn't made the disingenuous statements about being committed to BC.

well this just a generic statement. nothing personal here.

college isn't for everyone. bottom line is they misread this kid/what he's about. it happens, they've just done a great job of avoiding situations like this. will serve as a good reminder to them going forward.

I'd imagine York knew Milano could be a flight risk, but determined the potential reward was worth the risk and felt everything BC offered would outweigh the lure of MJs/turning pro at this point. The timing of Milano's announcement, which, combined with previous on-the-record statements he made, makes him come across like a me-first player. I wouldn't have been surprised either if Milano showed up at BC only to pull either a Jeremy Roenick, or a Kenny Ryan/Ryan Hayes.
