the real 4th line should be the sit line. i just don't see them going to billett. if the team didn't get the message last night it wouldn't matter if the legendary jimmy howard was in goal today.

If Demko gets lit up, or loses today (his fault or not), where do your team stand going into the NCAA's?

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

well, it looks like they'll still be the #1 seed in worcester but they would enter with pretty low confidence. knowing how york feels about the hockeyeast tourney, that's all he's focused on. he wants to win it and he thinks demko gives his team the best chance to win. personally, i don't really care who is in net today. i just care about the team in front of the goalie competing. if this team needs a goalie change to wake up, that's not encouraging.

Agreed, regarding goalie. It's more on the players in front of whoever is in net.

Also agreed regarding the Sit line. It simply isn't working. Granted it's skewed given Linell's constant shuffling but those 3 have scored 1 goal in 2014 which is almost impossible given they're in the lineup every night.

It sometimes means more than that. Handling goalies is somewhat similar to handling pitchers. But we can bat this around until the cows come home.

Did Jerry say that? Did he say Demko gives his team the best chance to win today? The man has over 900 wins and 5 NCAA titles, so I'm not going to argue. Just a littlle surprised, that's all.

I see a Billet start as a no lose situation, win or lose.

i'm just telling you how i think he feels about it. guess we'll see.

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

This team can't be thinking they're going to put up 3 or 4 goals. Defense wins hockey games in the post season. Perhaps BC feels a little too comfortable that Demko will save their arse back there. The way they played D last night sure made it look that way. A switch may get them refocused on playing shut down D. Maybe not. That is all.

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

Just watched the lowlights. 3rd goal almost made me want to puke. Game was still within reach before BC went full retard on that shift. The majority of the ND goals involved serious traffic in front of Demko. No wonder why he got lit up.

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

that's a good point, just don't see it happening though

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

do you break them up or do you bank on playing much better defensively and keep lines as is knowing it's gonna be a game like the regular season finale? .

we'll know the answer to that in about 3 hours

So are gold helmets>gold jerseys?

That first goal has got to be hard to swallow.

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

You are getting way ahead of yourself. I can't see the BC team that took on Lowell three weeks ago going quietly.

Really? Did we almost gift another game changer at the end of the first?
