Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

Re Paul Carey, by my count that's 12 from the 2010 team who have been called up: Muse, Dumoulin, Samuelsson, Wey, Sneep, Jimmy Hayes, Ben Smith, Cam, Joe Whit, Gibbons, Kreider, & Carey.

.

that team was effing stacked! The authors of the glorious 12-1 beat down of Miami and Bucky in Detroit.

Good, long article on Doherty: http://www.metrowestdailynews.com/article/20140309/SPORTS/140306534/2000/NEWS Think he got a raw deal to start the year but kudos to him for grinding through it.

Thanks. That at least gets into some specifics as to what they wanted him to work on. I'm assuming when York says they didn't think he was playing as well as he could...he's referring to practice? Because it seems Doherty was in the dog house from day one this season. He wasn't a regular to start the year.

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

is McInnis committed to BC? being recruited by them?

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

I wonder where the disconnect was with The Kid ?After reading his blog he says he had no intention of closing down even in the long term , good news . No clue about mcinnis' son . That's why we need The Kid. I wonder what the crowd will be like?? Students back this weekend (?) but most not until Saturday or more likely Sunday. I would think . Will we get the lineup we have been waiting for?

Think school started again on Monday and they were off from the 3rd through the 7th

Looking at the interactive seating chart (great addition Bates), it looks like student tickets are included for this one as all the upper deck is being listed as sold out.

From Claver on EA:

3rd line will be Smith-Sit-Linell & 4th line Silk-Calnan-Gilmour

Finally, Pirate Jerry is no longer

Nervous Nelly... Stop It!

After us and Michigan take care of business this weekend, we'll be playing the AHA champion in Worcester.

pretty sure that there are not 13 teams in the country better than Michigan despite what the computer says

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

I think you missed the meaning of my post. Read it again. If I'm right, our regional will look like Minny's regional.

But why worry about something that isn't even close to being finalized yet? Two full weekends of hockey remain to be played before the teams are selected for the tournament. Lots of teams in those March 12th brackets may be out of the tournament altogether.

Don't worry, be happy! Enjoy the ride. :)

donahue returning next year. apparently leahy said no to firing him. bc hoops = harvard hockey right now. going into this year hoops had decent expectations...what a debacle.

And no recruits coming in next year , correct? Leahy is clueless . How can we get rid of him? Donohue can't coach OR recruit but other than that he's fine. Look what has happened to this program the last 5 or 6 years . Weren't they like #4 in maybe 2006 and were in ACC championship game with a 4 point lead and two minutes left ? Then zit back white kid threw a couple late 3's to beat them ? Then against SC down 3 lazy Al has the guard to go for two or was it the brilliant inbounds play against Nova that year, I kind of forget we had a really decent bball program for a very long time, since Cousy in the 60's

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

Agreed, think Leahy overruled Bates on this one.

Should be interesting if people happen to run into Bates tonight at the game. I have yet to find 1 BC fan who thinks he should've been retained.

Unfortunately for us, I'm surprised Leahy is still president. Thought he would've hanged it up by now.

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

This Leahy/Donahue news is pretty freaking disgraceful. Leahy really sucks when it comes to this stuff but it is not suprising. We have heard time and again from people that claim to be in the know that Leahy (and Leo Sullivan) are treating the AD like a red-headed stepchild. And this continues to be a bad indicator for how Leahy will treat the athletic department going forward (forget about Bruce Pearl). The university needs new blood IMO, and that's not just because of my opinion on the Donahue thing. I think and hope York is going to outlast Leahy. But with the new endowment for the coaching position it may not be as big of a deal.
