Wahlstrom on 2nd line. Problem is best linemate for him is probably Hutsko but Hutsko has great chemistry with his current linemates. He's not like Eichel, reputation of goal scorer first. I just don't see him getting into threatening positions. Sure he gets a few shots on net but to me he really hasn't been a factor yet. Needs to find some chemistry with someone.

Him needing an Eichel is probably a stretch but we're basically on the same page. He needs a guy capable of setting him up. He doesn't appear to be a guy who can create his own chances.

That sounds like how Bellows looked for us. Had a great shot but rarely was able to create he space to take it. But I can't see him staying on the snide for long. I think he'll get it going, and it will probably coincide with the team getting hot.

Anyone know what to make of Tortora leaving? Know he had penalty issues but thought he had a lot of potential. Looks like heā€™s headed to the OHL because his rights were just traded.

Also with Tortora leaving, a bad start this and York decommitting, are others worried the last year and the beginning of this year are becoming a trend?

Last night was certainly a low point for me. I can see those teams in front of not great crowds, but itā€™s hard to believe they would play in empty buildings. Is there any way back for college hockey? I guess things can change quickly but it seems a long ways off. It will be interesting to see how the beanpot and HEA championships do this year.

Absolutely. Maine and UNH were must see games. Full houses and a charged atmosphere. And forget about BU, those crowds would be bonkers. That all seems to have gone by the wayside now and it happened in a relatively short period of time. And it seems BC is far from alone in that particular boat and it appears attendance is down just about everywhere. I know college hockey has always been a niche sport, but it wasn't this much a niche sport.

I certainly believe it too. As soon as I heard about Tortora, I mentioned to a couple people that I would guess Wahlstrom wouldn't be far behind. Tough loss, assuming he is actually gone.

I mistakenly thought Tri-City was a Major Junior team. So I agree, very good chance he isn't really gone. I can't see him dropping back a level like that. MJ seemed to make sense, a la Bellows.

Unless he and his peeps felt that league would allow him the best chance to collect point before the draft in an environment heā€™s most comfortable in perhaps.
Only reason to run at this point.
