Hate to say it but starting with that 2012-2013 season, there have been personnel moves that were or were not made that have been kind of scary (think Linell in on defense and dumping Colin Sullivan). I will be honest until last week I didn't think McInnis was much of an issue but it's become one now and the fact that we're not seeing alternatives being tried out on game night is something as fans we can only assume is a mistake. Maybe someone is in the doghouse?
Everything went downhill since Tampa. The chickens came home to roost after that with almost no recruiting plus Sit/Straight/Linell having to be passed through. Coaching turnover plus Pirate Jerry. The roster got built back up with too many NHLers and now here we are. I think/hope this is the foundation for a good few years and they finally did have a down year (first place but historically bad performances) but who knows what these kids will decide to do. Haven't following recruiting as closely, the defense is still a concern perhaps going forward at this point. Next year we will not even have a senior night. Hilarious.

It came down to how much White was pushed into Ruck and how much he "let it happen". Because White was literally lying on top of Ruck when Cotton tucked the puck into the other side of the net. It was definitely interference, but how much White could have done to avoid Ruck is the judgment call that the refs had to make.
One of the more entertaining consolation games I have seen in a while.

Well, this really makes me feel better!
As I've been telling people, I watch many college games and the officiating in this league is as bad as it gets. That being said, mistakes do happen, the refs are human. This is also why we have video review (still reviewed by humans but with many angles and no time constraints really). Naturally something like this is going to happen to your team if you watch enough games.
But... It's pretty tough to screw up something like this in this manner, call on the ice is a goal, go to video review and conclude that there is enough evidence to overturn the call on the ice, and then issue an apology a few days later. Only in Hockey East. We need to get rid of the good old bozo boys in the league offices and clean it out and start fresh.

Isn't Keenan the only one of the 4 officials who is a normal HE ref? Doubt they would have done this had it been an all Hockey East crew.
A side note: I wish the Hockey East website would include more than just the goals in the highlight videos. The disallowed goal was the biggest play in the game and I still haven't seen it because I wasn't at the game.

I also didn't see the game because it's 2017 and there was clearly no possible way to broadcast it outside of TD Garden, but checking NU's line chart, one ref was Kevin Keenan who has been around forever and the other was Jay Durfee, who a quick google search says belongs to the ECAC.

But at least because of this now, the replay booth HE uses at the Garden must have sound and all HE arenas were required to install equipment to prevent this sort of thing from happening again. The NESN guys were beside themselves after running through it over and over again that it was called a no goal as they had sound. Unfortunately, the HE reviewers had no sound in their booth and thus the screw up.

IT WASN'T MY FAULT!!!!
(anyhow, for the 1,000,000,000,000th time there were 29+ minutes left in the game. the celts lost last night because of the refs. when you have half the game it wasn't their fault. it was umlol's fault)
