Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

You think they're more intelligent? Fine by me. They probably are. That doesn't say anything for yourself though...chump.

As for this Trivino thing, now would be a good time for York to have a team meeting...just make everyone aware and remind them about the decisions they make.

Yeah, women and frying pans. Bad news man. :D

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

That thud you are hearing is the collective sound of bu falling from its high horse. I bet angry jack is begging al skinner for advice on handling a team full of degenerates.

It's pretty clear from the stories that JackPa enabled Corey by not doing anything to address the issue. Same old same old from the ugly end of Comm Ave.

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

Well I would not wish this on anyone and I feel for the BU fans here. It's not a reflection of BU, its hockey program, or even JP. Trivino has only himself to blame for making poor decisions regarding his drinking. Hopefully he learned his lesson albeit a painful one and move on with life.

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

Wow, the BU thread is jumping with other rumors after 2 BU players are gone this week. Things are not well at the other end of Comm. Ave.

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

This is what happens when you compromise your school's "academic standards" to let in a player who might help you win. Of course, Sux2BU doesn't really have any academic standards and they haven't won, but they were dreaming of it. :D

And you don't think BC has let many players in who would have a zero chance without hockey, ZERO?

You don't think that some recent BC players who left for pros had that decision made easier for them by not being eligible going forward?

BC is a better academic school than BU but they 100% have kids there who couldnt get into BU straight up and have had several leave who were "leaving" either way

Hey Hokydad,

What's your opinion on some of the incoming BC forwards over the next couple of years, more specifically Vatrano, Silk, Cangelosi, Fitzgerald and Richardson? Unlike most around here, I actually respect your opinion, so wanted to hear your $.02.

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

If you're saying that athletes can get special treatment from admissions...I think that's fairly obvious. Once they're there, it becomes a matter of what they do with that opportunity. Unlike you, hokydad, we don't claim to know the ins and outs of every player who has ever left early. What you're saying could be true, but unless you want to point to some report about a specific player...once again, just speculation on your part.

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

Saponari says hello.

you have to have some academic standards. No interest in naming players who did either as I have to much respect for them and it would accomplish zero. believe me or not, could care less

Fitz and Vatrano are your typical highly skilled, smaller bc types. Both will be great fits on and off the ice. Fitz in particular....

D in a few years is off the charts with Santini, Doherty and Savage, followed by Hanafin who will probably never arrive as he will get huge Major Junior push

Silk is a Kyle Kucharski type.

Ha, so what are you saying about Northeastern??? Anyway, since you "have no interest in naming players", let's just leave it at that then.

Another post from a guy just doing the best he can here....unfortunately, as it says nothing, its a total waste of space.

Dear tebow, what the **** are you talking about? And it's amazing that you can try so hard to get under my skin while not making any sense whatsoever at the same time. If my post was a waste of space, what is this most recent gem? Just stop posting already. If I want your feedback I will call you out specifically. I know you'll be waiting...

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

Just wondering how BC fans feel about their team coming in to the GLI. Will they play in mid season form or are they going to be rusty against Michigan?
Are there many fans going to be around? Come find us in the Tech section.

Re: Boston College Eagles 2011-2012 season thread

We agree. That was the point I was making.

Yes, admissions standards are relaxed for athletes. But clearly we have higher standards than BU does.

Also, I firmly believe that BC does more to keep students academically eligible and on track for graduation. Other schools may care, yes, but it's something BC really hangs its hat on.

Since November, they've been a .500 team. So I'd say going into the GLI, they've been so so. They should be OK when they return to action but the offense has been hot and cold. Billet has come on to be a challenger to Milner in goal with more playing time. Kreider, Arnold, and Almeida are the leading goal scorers. Wey is expected to be back on the blue line to bolster the defense since his freak injury.

How's Michigan doing? They look like they've been up and down this season and fell off the top-15 poll.
