Re: Bohemian Rap City: Movies Thread

Hey now, WW has to have the aids of weapons, and Cyborg is well, The Terminator On Steroids. And Aquaman....ok, he has a trident. I guess that's passable. And Batman has no superpowers, except being rich. ;)

Batman and the Flash had unique talents, but the rest were "well they're strong". I mean, I know Aquaman was some water powers, but that worked real well in a movie where he was on dry land like 99% of the time.

Also, DC, maybe in your movies considers scenes in daytime. It feels like BvsS and JL were permanently set at 10pm.

Batman Vs Superman sucked ***. I couldn't finish it.

And yes, the Aquaman in a scene of fire made TOTAL sense. :D

Re: Bohemian Rap City: Movies Thread

Maybe if you guys knew anything about the actual character you would know it does make sense ;)

But speaking as someone who likes Justice League:

Aquaman > Justice League and it isnt even close.

They knew what they were getting when Zach Snyder was hired...

James Wan went the opposite direction with Aquaman... It's a very colorful, vibrant movie...

Re: Bohemian Rap City: Movies Thread

I had never seen Elysium before earlier today. The film was an ok afternoon killer but the only reason why I'm even mentioning it was the cool coincidence that two key characters in the movie were played by Diego Luna (Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo in Narcos: Mexico) and Wagner Moura (Pablo Escobar in Narcos S1/2) the latter of which took me some time to figure out who he was.

That would require me to be a comic book nerd, so I'll pass, thanks. I prefer my soap operas to be about business. :p

I did like the Nolan Batman movies though.

Re: Bohemian Rap City: Movies Thread

I finally watched Unbreakable last night, in order to watch Split today and then go see Glass.

I loved it.

Unbreakable was the preamble to the end of his career.

Edit: Unbreakable was good. Sixth sense was very good. Signs was good enough. Everything after that was generally ****ty.

The Visit had a few decent moments

The Visit had a few decent moments

I hadn’t even heard of it. I stopped paying attention to him when he had to hide the fact that he was the director of a movie to prevent ****ty reviews.

I think he probably doesn’t get a fair shake, but he also doesn’t make good movies anymore. Which is also sad because the three I mentioned were actually pretty good. I had hope throat we had a new director for this generation that could do really good suspenseful supernatural thrillers.

Re: Bohemian Rap City: Movies Thread

Saw the Favourite. Olivia Coleman was outstanding as the queen. Rachel Weisz was great as usual. Emma stone was good but man was her character annoying.

Overall movie was ok. Got slow and long in some parts

Re: Bohemian Rap City: Movies Thread

Unbreakable was great. Loved it to pieces. Split was quite good and McAvoy is brilliant in it. Despite mediocre reviews I am looking forward to Glass.

I might have to dial up Unbreakable. When I saw the preview for Glass, I was "why the hell are they remaking/tweaking Split?" Then I found it was actually part of a trilogy of sorts. So, I guess I'll have to just dive in.
