So here we are... I've already had a fight with a customer about Black Friday, so I figured we could stir up some talk on your adventures, who has what deal, and so on and so forth...

(and for anyone that cares, we had someone come into Dick's with a "leaked copy" of our ad, and wanted us to price match on items that were in the add... Funny thing was that the "leaked copy" was last years ad that some random site posted... Know how we knew? One of the items was a Livestrong Elliptical machine that was RECALLED and TAKEN OUT OF PRODUCTION in Early December last year :D :p :rolleyes: That guy was ticked when he didn't get what he wanted, lol... Sure there will be more fun to come :eek::mad:)

As for my shopping needs, anyone know of any good deals for a PS3 system? I'm looking to get one to play Gran Turismo 5...

No way on earth they have a deal on PS3s. Also, you can already see all of the ads online. Also part II: You can find 95% of all the deals online. My secret that's not such a secret.

bfads.net is a great resource for Black Friday.

I already skimmed through it looking for a few items, found nothing of interest, and plan on NOT going out anywhere on Friday. :)

Have physical copies of all of the ads myself.

Haven't had a chance to look at them in detail though.

My daughter will be working at two retail clothing mall outlets on Black Friday. In the name of parents beleaguered by their daughters' work stories everywhere, please be nice to the staff that day!

When I worked at Sears on Black Friday, if I had a customer complaining, I'd just walk away to the next one.

Two years ago when my parents were getting a new TV, Mom dropped Dad and me at the front door of the mall, drove around the mall parking lot while Dad and I found the advertised TV and paid for it. Came back around 20 minutes later and picked us up. Drove very quickly away.

My girlfriend and I may try that again this year with her mom.

Unless its a massive discount for a TV, Computer, or game system rarely are any of them worth it... just scream BLACK FRIDAY loudly to get attention seems to be this year's theme. On the other hand, Newegg did save me 30 dollars on a hard drive for the computer parts I just bought.

Holy hell. Wal-mart just used the nuclear option for Black Friday. They're matching all other retailers' prices. I've seen that maybe once before (from a smaller store) but never from a company the size of Wal-mart.

watch that be sheer chaos considering all those time clock deals out there (until 10am, until noon, etc.) I'd hate to be an employee.

Wow... On the surface, that seems insane... But after a few moments of thought... How much does Wal-mart actually sell that isn't "exclusive" to them in some form or another? Whether it's packaging or something else, there probably isn't a whole lot that will be able to be taken advantage of...

My wife mentioned last night that Walmart will open at midnight, however, you can't checkout until 5am. Not sure if that's just the local store or not. But holy hell what would you do for 5 hours in Walmart????????

Is it me or is the xmas music they play in the stores getting worse every year? I swear I heard a Billy Squire xmas song in Menards today.
