B1G alumni probably focus their energies on things like inventing or developing things like

mass spectrometers
particle accelerators
radio
Television
Computers and
the internet

And those are just the things I know the University of Minnesota helped out with. Guessing the other 13 B1G schools may have contributed to a few innovations over the years.

None of you guys would be able to be having this conversation/debate/discussion using the internet and your computers, unless it was for the B1G. :)

The Big Ten Conference had zero to do with the invention of the radio or television, you moron. Along with all of the other things that don't have anything to do with sports that your latest episode of verbal diarrhea mentioned.

The Big Ten conference had nothing to do with the development of any of those things either.

Go talk about Tay Zonday in the Cafe. This section of the site is for college hockey. I know how your reading comprehension is lacking, though

What happens if they only scrape up an even 12? Will you leave the $5 in your mom's basement, or have a courier pigeon (with the B1G also invented) deliver it to Fred's mom's basement?

That courier pigeon has yet to deliver Dirty's AIC jersey, if I recall.

I don't think the B1G invented the courier pigeon, but it may have helped develop it? lol

And my mother doesn't have a basement, just a crawl space for accessing plumbing.

Maybe not the B1G as a conference, but individual institutions within the B1G did, or the individuals involved with those institutions.
