Will be a good weekend for the home teams if the Gophers only show up for 4 or 5 of the periods on the weekend.

Lucia will love Clarkson and all the 21 year old frosh. Personally I think Minnesota will probably win, I was watching some of the SCSU series and it seemed like the PP moved it well just didn't get many chances, they'll have plenty of chances with the ECAC officiating. 5-3 Minnesota.

I know this isn't B1G related but I just had to mention about how Minnesota-Duluth got the free pass that their exhibition loss to USA Under-18 isn't counting against them in this weeks rankings.

Why should it count? It doesn't count in their record, stats, nothing. All 3 goalies played, they used an extra player. It was an exhibition...nothing should count for it.

I doubt they let them win. But again...the game does not count in any way...so it shouldn't in a meaningless poll either.

I just have a gut feeling that there are SOME teams out there the voters would have taken such a game in consideration against them, just saying.

There's also a conspiracy theory I have about 3 former CCHA refs, one of which moved onwards & upwards in the B1G who I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw him. LOL!

it looks like the rankings were right. maybe UND was too high.

I don't know about the rest of the conference but we don't play a conference opponent until the first week of Dec. and then we're on break until the New Year.
