Big Ten 2015-2016

Re: Big Ten 2015-2016

How is it possible to be in the State of Hockey and not be in an at large position to make the NCAA tourney?
Happy, do you have a good answer to streaker's question? I can't think of one.;)

I think that a least one or two teams will make it from Minnesota. also, the Women are in the FF already. You can't be great every year.

I would add that this has been discussed on this website ad infinitum. The Gophers lost the most productive senior class in the NCAA and two D that started this season in the NHL. In return they got 11 freshman. How good was the senior class over the past 4 seasons?

They scored more goals than any senior class in the NCAA last season, won the first two Big Ten Regular Season Championships, The Big Ten Tournament last season, four consecutive regular season championships including the last two years in the WCHA, four consecutive NCAA playoff appearances, and 2 Frozen Four appearances. Also over the last four years, Minnesota led the NCAA in total wins (105), winning percentage (.690) and fewest losses (43). Lastly, the Gophers led the nation in home wins (63), home winning percentage (.801) and fewest home losses (13).

And even with a down year this season, we still won the Big Ten season title. It remains to be seen what happens in the B1G tourney. Hopefully they'll go in with confidence and win it. Here's what Lucia, Kloos and Schierhorn had to say about it >> Interview

Just like it has been discussed in equal nauseum about how Michigan can't play defense yet has all this talent year after year... even after losing their talent too...

Re: Big Ten 2015-2016

You guys are funny. Challenge Michigan for not being conference champions and we reply- so when challenged back, you then take credit for all the hockey teams in the state.

Now you're being to understand how Gopher fans view the hockey world.

Re: Big Ten 2015-2016

Aw, look, some butthurt goofer fan is whining about rep. Apparently they can't handle a friendly rivalry, or they care about rep, either way :D
I can't speak for dx, but IMO.........

If you neg rep someone, at least have the balls to sign it and make yourself known. I couldn't care less about someone neg repping me, I would just like to know who it is! LOL!!!!

I don't see anyone taking credit. A question was asked and answered. The state of hockey is pretty big and has several pretty good hockey teams. Not our fault you didn't know what you really wanted to troll about. Keep working at it. You'll get it eventually. :)

Yeah, but the overall talent level on Michigan is clearly much higher than the Gophers this season. IMO with the Wolverines, if you've got 5-6 guys (Both F and D) taking 30, 40, 50 PIM a season, you're gonna kill your momentum with undisciplined play. I think Downing can play sound D when he wants to, but you can't hurt your team with 3 suspensions in a season either. That's ridiculous.

Re: Big Ten 2015-2016

No, no.. I mean the team from Minnesota...

It's the State of Hockey, so we like all our teams here. I even like my old high school team, which hasn't won anything in 15 years. Besides, who doesn't likes Jan?
