Trump is scared. He is making stuff up that doesn't even help his case. It is bad enough his lies are easily disputable (which is done beautifully by Aaron) but they are less coherent than his debate performance.

Still keeping up that "Dems will destroy the suburbs!" shtick, even though it's clearly not working and the doofus couldn't name a single suburb if he tried. He'd just say "Connecticut".

538 prediction of popular vote is up to Biden +6.7%. Before the first debate Hillary was at +1.2%.

Keep voting (I voted today! :-) There were hour-long lines in Northern VA.) This is a blow out. Keep voting. This is going to be a multi-generational realignment like 1980, and set voting patterns for 40 years.

It's been interesting watching the scales fall from the eyes as actual voting takes place. It turns out that it wasn't an issue, a lie, a rape, a crime, or an outrageous statement that turned every reasonable person against Trump. It was simply the dreadful accumulated weight of 4 years of bullshit that was finally too much to bear. My only plea is: be compassionate with these people. They are still Americans. Let it be enough to put the Trumps and their actual accomplices in prison, and allow the voters time and space to heal.

At the same time though, this showed us how rampant racism truly is in this country. That is not something these people will "heal" from. That's something that will just sit and fester inside them.

Anyone in currently their 30s probably knew someone around "grandparent" age who was blatantly racist, but it was simply dismissed as "being raised in a different time" (full disclosure: my grandparents fit this mold perfectly). Do we forgive the current crop of racists for the same reason? There is a whole generation of entitled Karens out there who aren't changing. We're stuck living with them for the next 30 years...

I have no problem review bombing a business stating that the owner is a blatant racist/homophobe/asshole. These people made their beds... They need to reap what they sow.

You're right, racism and homophobia should be purged from society by whatever means necessary. I guess I'm not explicitly connecting that to having voted for Trump in 2016. Many voters are just ignorant or just party members by tradition. Unless shown otherwise, I find it's easier on my mind to assume the best about individuals.

:-p

He isn't even struggling to hold them, he's way behind.

PA Biden +4.9
WI Biden +6.0
MI Biden +7.0

I was channeling my inner Nate Silver ;-) (the emoticon means I am joking I love Nate!)

Actually I didn't want to get accused of being haughty which will lead to complacency. Dont need any thoughts of DEMS IN DISARRAY!!11!!!!! :-p

I'll concede the party line/tradition voting to an extent here. I'm sure up on the Keweenaw there are some Trump supporters that do buy into the "American Dream" legitimately and view R's as the way to achieve that despite the party itself crapping on that idea for common folks (in the same way that Southerners do). It's not like the willful ignorance that is required to be an open R voter here in Chicago...

It is a different mentality.

I am fine showing them the compassion they would never show us. We're better people, so yes we will do that.

But that compassion does not extend to a voice. They supported treason. Their political participation is no longer welcome.

We will give them a comfortable seat in back. We drive from now on. They lost that privilege through their own actions.

I think for the next debate Biden should channel Bill Haller and just walk around saying "Aww Earl" whenever Trump goes on a rant after him.

This may shock you, but one side is handling the debate changes like a mature adult, while the other is whining like a little bitch.

Tim Murtaugh, communications director for the Trump campaign, criticized the commission for the forthcoming measures.

"They're only doing this because their guy got pummeled last night," he said in a statement. "President Trump was the dominant force and now Joe Biden is trying to work the refs. They shouldn't be moving the goalposts and changing the rules in the middle of the game."

Kate Bedingfield, deputy campaign manager for Biden's campaign, said the former vice president is ready for the next contest in Miami.

"He'll be focused on answering questions from the voters there, under whatever set of rules the Commission develops to try to contain Donald Trump's behavior," she said in a statement. "The president will have to choose between responding to voters about questions for which he has offered no answers in this campaign — or repeating last night's unhinged meltdown."

Biden now at 80% for the first time and we're still a month out. These polls on election eve would translate to 99%.

It's a blow out. Vote these f-cks out from sea to shining sea. Take America back. Vote. Vote. VOTE!

Too much too soon....

I really do feel that Dems need to fear to get EVERYONE out to the polls... It helps if people are willing to put up some resistance to the "poll watcher" shenanigans that will happen.
