I'd have to see a replay but it looked to me that he was hanging back. The team is starting to look a little too loose in front of him...that can happen in a game that seems to be as soft as this one has been to this point.

Sorry to bring this back up, but... the Bentley forward picked it up near the neutral zone (if I remember right). Well out of Merriam's range.
