Bentley Falcons 2014-2015: If You Build It, They Will Come

Re: Bentley Falcons 2014-2015: If You Build It, They Will Come

Stopped by the JAR this week. It looks absolutely great in the inside with what they're doing! Hope to have some pictures posted real soon for y'all.

There's a lot of good info on Argue out there - videos, interviews, scouting reports and of course stats. Seems like a great kid and could be the real deal in net. Wouldn't be surprised to to see him making an impact this season.

Looking forward to some great road trips this year: Penn State for Halloween weekend! A visit to the wonderful city of Troy, NY for RPI... Hopefully we see even more growth in the popular annual Harvard game, and Quinnipiac is a great opportunity to start the season with a bang! And (while we wait for our inevitable new rink) we'll keep working on making the JAR a tough place to play for opponents! Looking forward to another great season of Bentley Hockey!

Good upbeat post, TTS. I will be attending the Quinnipiac game, for sure (cousin's family in neighborhood).

I would like to see both BC and UNH on our docket for 2015-2016, Schiegs. ;)

Looking forward to seeing the new roof on the JAR, Dan! :)

Grieve named captain.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a good pick, presumably by his teammates? Have co-captains been named? I would think perhaps Weinstein, and Gladiuk or Switzer?

My favorite Grieve goal was his first, in Ann Arbor, October 2011, which put Bentley up 1-0 against the Wolverines midway through the first period of game 1.

Bentley's schedule lists games at AIC on Fri 12/12 and Sat 12/13. AIC lists those games as Sat 12/13 and Sun 12/14 - anyone have any ideas?

Also saw your post n FlagDude's thread, mar, but I have not a clue, although Bentley usually plays Friday and Saturdays for these short haul home and home weekends, or perhaps a Friday -Sunday late in the season to provide more rest time between games.

However the AIC weekend plays out, less than 11 weeks before the puck drops for Bentley at Quinnipiac on October 11th!

I tend to trust AIC as their schedule came out later, and they are hosting (maybe a schedule conflict?) but I'm not really sure. I know the AHA series are typically Fri/Sat

Not sure on the AIC series. Haven't had a talk or sit down with really anyone lately so I couldn't tell ya there.

As for the JAR, pics will be up in the AM.

Exactly two months to first game of season at Quinnipiac!

I just heard that Justin Kemmerer will be playing for the Reading Royals in the ECHL this coming season.

I actually very quietly took everything down a couple of months ago on a personal decision. I'll still be doing the games broadcast wise, but I haven't had the time to update on the site nearly what I wanted to. So I had to bring it down. Impending nuptials and a couple of big boy job obligations sapped my time and I opted to end it all instead.

We'll have some cool initiatives this year with Bentley that'll replace all that coverage. There's some things in the works, so stay tuned. I'm not going anywhere, but I just had to dial back some of the stuff I was doing so I could go finish planning (and paying for) my wedding!

Congrats on the wedding. It's unfortunate to see you having to cut back because I enjoyed your coverage, and I know the Bentley fans loved it more than I did! Thanks for all the work you did.

I'll still be working with Chris up for the mothership at USCHO! And like I said there's going to be some fun stuff coming out that'll be really cool once it gets finalized.
