The CHA is dead, I think it's time for a BSU offseason thread instead of the CHA thread. Go.
Huge Wilkinson fan here - no problem. Now State? Not sure 'bout them and ComleyDon't mean to stall your new thread...just want to say that I followed Wayne State hockey until the program collapsed. And while that was not so fun, it was fun to watch the Beavers program build to a level of national recognition. I'm sure the program will thrive in the new arena. Good luck next season!
Sorry to disappoint you Bemidji fans, but you're coming into a pretty poor conference. I hear they are just like the Big East in college hoops.![]()
So you're saying the WCHA's top 8 are making the NCAA's next year, and the tourney champ will make the Frozen Four? Great!

(I went to NMU)

Now that BSU is in the WCHA I heard the Gophers are trying to replace BSU for somebody else.
That would make sense for the Gophers, if it happens, hopefully they work it out so BSU and another non-WCHA team simply swap holiday tournaments. Now that BSU is in the WCHA I heard the Gophers are trying to replace BSU for somebody else.
Do you mean for the Classic, or were you trying to be funny with a joke about cupcakes?![]()

Looks like we're going to have to scrounge up a beaver to put on the stick.

Engelstad East, Mariucci North or DECC West would all work.It was sad to see how the season ended, but it is going to be so much fun following them next year!
P.S. Does anyone know if there has been any talk about Naming Rights for the Arena, or is it simply going to be called the BREC?

Just looking at this past season, and to just look at it from a budgetary standpoint, BSU had 5 bus trips (NMU, UMinn, UND for the holiday tourney, WMU and UNO - plus a single day bus trip to UMD) and 4 flights (UAH, Niagara, RMU and a season ending week-long trip back to UAH and then up to Niagara for the CHA Tourney - and not only that, but '08-'09 had 6 flights and only three bus trips).Just a tad different than this year's schedule.
