Late to post, but Congratulations Beavers! Very nice tourney run. Your guys had the most consistent effort and focus this weekend and got the hardware as a result. Congrats to the players and Coach Serratore, very well done. Fun hockey to watch.

Just got back the BSU game. Congrats Beavs with your 5-2 win tonight over #6 BGSU. Of course the game was much closer, two empty net goals. BSU looked feisty at first and seemed to control things, played even in the second, but the momentum shifted to the Falcons and we were fortunate to hang on and win. Both teams had a couple flurries at the goal, yet came up empty. If we can sweep, we're pretty good. Last 3 games, #7, #1 and #6 fall. But we seem to be improving. GO BEAVS!

Well, but Ferris plays BG and Mankato twice in the next four weekends, so it's not inconceivable that they wouldn't still be stuck at single-digit wins come the end of this run for them, given how their offense is "producing" and that they're playing against some of the league's best goaltending. Then consider how bad Northern may be without Dahlström and that Alaska is ineligible and, yes, it's possible.

You're right about those LSSU wins, and frankly, I'm sad that you lost to them. We need them to lose! God help me, I wanted the Beavers to win those games. I'm okay with Bemidji winning in non-conference action, but a perfect season for me is UAH with home ice in the first round and Bemidji at 0-28-0 in WCHA play.

If last weekend was big, this weekend is even BIGGER for the Beavers. They need points this weekend if they want a better shot at home ice. Ideally four to tie Northern, three would move the Beavers to within two points, a split would leave them still four points back.

BSU has at Northern, Anchorage, at Ferris and Mankato left on the schedule.

Northern has Bemidji, at Bowling Green, Lake State and home and home with Michigan Tech left.

Ferris State has Bowling Green, at Huntsville, with BSU, at Lake State left.
