DU came on strong the second half of the period. I think they went more than the first ten minutes without a shot. Great Brittain made a huge save on that shortie attempt.
My brother, who has no dog in this hunt (he went to Brown) saw the video of the hit on Jesse today and immediately concluded it was a cheap hit "he went for his head and could have pulled up." And he was astonished when I told him Jesse had reached out to Malone. I assured him we all were.

He talked about how he immediately thought that he would be in a wheel chair the rest of his life, that he wouldn't be able to teach his kid how to skate, that he wouldn't be able to take care of himself. He said not being able to play hockey didn't come into his mind. Part II will be after the next period. Allanna Rizzo did the interview.

I think I might have asked him how he copes with the halo. Got to be awful trying to get some sleep in that thing. And what he's doing as far as rehabilitation is concerned, what's the time table, etc. How great is it he worried about not being able to teach his kid to skate. An American kid might talk about throwing him a ball.
