While thebrain's point is specious at best, taking 4 pts. in Oct. was hardly "easy," and apparently willy didn't even read his link (or at least forgot watching the game referenced).
To refresh - yes,
the Friday game was very one-sided. "Easy," if you will. Saturday? Hardly. From willy's linked article, BSU lead early (2-1 until their were 5 minutes left in the second, in fact), and if you look at the
box score, it was
just 3-2 UND until there was 1:30 left in the game. At that time, BSU was pressuring for the tying goal (and getting some good chances), when they gave up a partial break-away to Matt Frattin. Down 4-2, BSU still pulled Bakala, and promptly gave up an ENG. I guess we have different definitions of easy...
What's my point? All three of you are wrong. Anyone who looks at a match-up and says, "well, UND is playing the 9th place team, they should sweep easily," is out of your mind. Why do you think Denver lost a game to Tech last weekend? How 'bout because every team in the league is pretty darn good? WCHA fans go around touting how deep the conference is, then bash the last-place teams, or even the 9, 10 and 11th place teams. I understand trash-talking, but good god, use common sense too.
