BC vs Wisconsin...for All the Marbles

Re: BC vs Wisconsin...for All the Marbles

He didn't say anything false, but yeah.

Actually he did say something false.

Definition of murderer:

•a criminal who commits homicide (who performs the unlawful premeditated killing of another human being)

Re: BC vs Wisconsin...for All the Marbles

Right. Let's pretend it never happened and he DIDN'T kill Snyder in '03. Makes things easier.

Look, I know you're probably never going to law school but learn what murder is, otherwise you're going to keep looking like a fool.

There needs to be intent to kill. Stupidity/recklessness doesn't remove the requirement of intent for murder.

Re: BC vs Wisconsin...for All the Marbles

I'll play, In the last 20 years, NCAA Champions, WCHA 8, HE 7
I count 19-13 for finalists (just checking your math ;) ) or did you not count "92" when the NCAA vacated the Badgers appearance  . Also don't forget Northern Michigan was in the WCHA in "91".

In the last 10 years, Frozen Four participants:
HE 14, WCHA 14, CCHA 9, ECAC 1, AHA 1, CHA 1

In the last 20 years, FF participants (counting NMU 1991 in the WCHA):
HE 31, WCHA 22, CCHA 21, ECAC 4, AHA 1, CHA 1

I gues that shows who the big 3 are.

ECAC, AHA and CHA :D

I don't agree with you... Getting drunk you are risking it. Sorry. He was 100% wrong. I know the law may disagree, but he was wrong.. You can sugarcoat it anyway you want, but he still killed him.

Re: BC vs Wisconsin...for All the Marbles

In the words of Ricky Bobby... If you ain't first you're last!

And I said it once, and I'll say it again, participation and runner-up banners aren't worth the fabric they're made out of... Just remember little man, The hardware is all that matters, we have twice as many National Championship trophies as BC does. What does that mean? It's pretty simple... Wisconsin's hockey program is twice as awesome as Boston College.

It's pretty easy to simplify what really matters here. Since Jerry York came back to BC, no program has been better. And if everyone comes back next year, they'll be preseason #1.

Yeah... but saying that someone killed someone doesn't automatically make it murder.

Does anyone keep a stat on college hockey teams and what percentage of the previous year's squad of F-S-J come back the following year? It would be testimony to York if the Eagles 'return' a lot of these players, if not all of them who aren't Seniors.

He wasn't drunk.

ATLANTA -- Atlanta Thrashers star Dany Heatley was not drunk when he was driving the car that crashed, killing teammate Dan Snyder, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's crime lab.

Heatley, 22, had consumed some alcohol before the Sept. 29 accident but not enough to accurately register on a crime lab test, said Erik Friedly, spokesman for the Fulton County district attorney's office.

"Alcohol was present, but it was below 0.015, which is the crime lab test reporting limit," Friedly said. "That's the lowest point that their test registers, and it was somewhere below that."

Cough medicine will register higher than that.

Wrong and murder are two different things. Sorry, you're changing the argument as you go along and you're looking like a fool.

He was driving too fast, he was reckless, I bet he knows he made a mistake and has to live with it for the rest of his life, it doesn't make him a murderer, or that he killed him.

I guess on that same vein we'll have some Bush-hater run in and start talking about Laura Bush the murderer now.

I ask this in all seriousness, but are any of them flight risks? I gotta think that the Gionta's and Gerbe's of the world are few and far between. What I'm saying is, are these small quick forwards high level NHL prospects?

I'm not saying that they can't make it just because of their size, but they certainly won't be the NHL prototype. Great college players, no doubt.

Many of the players York recruits have the potential to be great college players but are too small for professional aspirations. However, there are a few NHL prospects like Hayes and Kreider. I don't know how far along those kind of guys are, but with Hayes brother (right?) coming next season and Kreider only completing his freshman year, I could easily see them returning... BC will be a good team once again.

Re: BC vs Wisconsin...for All the Marbles

Nice to see how classy BC fans are. They win a title and now they're ragging on, of all things, the Dany Heatley incident in Atlanta.

And they can't even get the ****ing facts right.

Thank the Lord that the SAWX season just started, so they'll probably be on something else in a week or so.

In any rate, I don't really feel like repeating myself, so I'll just link my reaction from No Alibis:

EPIC FAIL

it wasn't a BC fan who brought up Heatley

Re: BC vs Wisconsin...for All the Marbles

Congrats to BC on a championship season. A season to remember for the Badgers as well that came up one game short. It was a well fought game through 2 periods, but BC slammed the door in the 3rd. I wish the best to all of the Badger seniors and others moving on to pro hockey, and as a remedy to the loss I will remember these words:

"When you say Wisconsin..... you've said it all!".
