BC has clinched a first round bye in the conference playoffs.

carpenter and stack with goals in 3-1 win over finland. fins are expected to take bronze.

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

Little doubt that BC will be ranked #1 come Monday, with most (if not all) of the first-place votes. Certainly not a 'Big Deal' observation, but it is descriptive of how the team has been playing since the break.

since the game that shall not be talked about ;)

So now that they have technically clinched home ice, they know they will be hosting and tickets should be on sale relatively soon for the QF best of 3?

Yeah you can give the ticket office a call, they're actually pretty good since new AD took over.

Also you can alert the Flames fans that Johnny did NOT get powerplay minutes in the 3rd when they were up 5-0

Hah.. you would not believe the debate that has occurred over this little stat. Some serious feelings have been hurt.

If you bought season tickets, they were included.

A win is a win but playing lowly MC is not a good comparison on how they would match up with a good team like Minnesota who handled BC easily in their 2nd game of their series in the fall. Their next big test obviously is NU on Monday. Looks like they could be on top of the rankings after Wisconsin upset the Gophers 2-1.

Tickets available for road games in Vermont and Lowell. I hate long drives but Vermont should be fun games to watch. Don't forget leave candy and flowers before you leave )) (Feb. 14)

@greenlantern ...... lol no feeling hurt here

I just didnt agree with this statement "Like others have said, he's always out there with the first unit PP. "

Great clean hit.

6-1 was actually better than I thought it might have been. This game had the potential to be a repeat of the early season BC-Army game. Geez, 'Mack is awful this year. Those couple of years of "middle of the pack" seem like a long time ago.

At one point though it was BC 3 Mack 2 posts . Is that Michigan score correct?

First unit PP doesn't always mean the first unit on the ice for a PP. First unit PP means it is our #1 unit. BC's #1 unit is: JG, Arnold, Hayes, Brown and Matheson. Sometimes those guys just finished a a full shift so the #2 PP unit is sent out first.

You guys are Canadian hockey fans and you don't understand this?

BTW... JG was paired with Arnold on BC's first PK and JG had a beautiful assist on Arnold's shortie.

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

I understand hockey jargon.... I was having a discussion about york not loading Johnny with PP minutes. Johnny gets his PP time, but not as much as other teams may give their top line. OBVIOUSLY he gets PP time, but from the start of the season until now its been growing. Jork himself had stated that he didnt have the G_A_H line together at the begining of the year so he could introduce freshman into more vertern lines. Same thing with PP time, he's had 100% shown that he know thes G_A_H can produce and he is trying to build confidence in the 2nd some times even the 3rd PP line. But in the next couple games you will see a surge in the urgency to have the G_A_H line max out their PP time.

Where are you getting your PP minutes stats from? Have a link? How many Boston College games have you seen 'live' this season?

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

Not even worth the response, rangers fans did the same thing about kreider

As his line wasn't listed on top of the line sheet it turned to 'OMG YORK ISNT GIVING KREIDER 1ST LINE MINUTES'

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

there was never any grand scheme where york had a certain date in mind to put those three together. it just hapoened, organically. gaudreau gets as much ice time as any forward on the team and it's been that way all year.

if bc is down a goal late in a game or something similar, gaudreau would be on the ice for the majority of the 2 minutes...if not the whole **** thing. as for the average run of the mill PP during a game, york is not whistling dick umile trying to get guys off the ice and he certainly isn't gonna rush gaudreau off the ice.

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

After watching Duke play with BC today thank goodness there's hockey ) That was boring and painful as it gets ... I went with a friend who is in the East Carolina Hall of Fame and we were commenting during the game on this and that ..... comments like ..... why did he do that ? Boards ? why is he standing there and waiting there until time runs out to get the play going ? I won't be renewing my season tickets next year ((

Is Don way over his head ??

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14, Part II: Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property Nat'l Ch

When it comes to games watched... don't question it. the G_A_H line for fact doesn't get top 1st PP line time compared to most teams. AGAIN THEY GET ALOT OF PP TIME.... even more when they are 1 goal up, even, down 1. But not many teams in the league score an average of 4+ goals a games, normal teams don't win by an average of 2 goal a game. Johnny get limited PP time when compared to the avg for 1st line of PP on most teams...... thats all, you can't argue that. You can see a clear difference in ice time basis off the value of the game and score. Which in return limits PP time compared to most 1st line PP in the college hockey..... this isn't a brain teasing concept

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

p.s ill try to find the interview where york clearly stated that he split G_A_H line to better suit the freshman and other line..... you don't think he ever thought ...."wow, i under what will happen when i put my best 3 forwards together for the first line..... maybe gaudreau with a freshman with develop into the best line in college hockey".... do you know hockey?

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

This guy's a hoot. 4 posts over 2 days and he's barking out orders.

Junkie: Don't question the number of games I've watched.

Junkie: These PP numbers are indeed fact. Johnny doesn't get as much PP time as other #1 lines. Don't ask me to prove it with a link to the stats. I'm telling you what I say is all fact.

Junkie: p.s. you guys have been watching York coach at BC for 20 years, but you don't know squat about the way he coaches Johnny (yea, it's not about the team, it's all about Johnny). Anyway, let me dig out that interview I read to prove I really know my stuff.
