In the NHL that is a goal (skate above ice but "on" the line) but NCAA rules say the skate must be ON the ice on or behind the blue line. Time for the NCAA to change a dumb rule, like the NHL did.

Someday, a Stanley Cup or D-1 title game is going to be decided by one of these idiotic rules.

At some point, why not just trust your linesmen, and avoid this video millimeter circus crap.

Let video stay for goal line calls and post-game retroactive discipline only.

It was offsides but as stated above if they make the call make it live and not a replay 3 minutes later. Awful rule. That goal should have counted.

Agreed on all points.

That being said, I absolutely despise the Delay of Game rule in the NHL for flipping a puck over the glass. It's terrible and I'm glad the NCAA doesn't have it.

This is a wild one. Reminds me of the time BC beat UNH in I think 2OTs (Matt Greene) at the Garden and they called it back because the UNH goalie flipped his helmet off as the gamewinner was going in. Luckily I think Benn Ferriero ended it in 3OT. If I had to guess a year, I'd say prob 2008.

Let's consider this a blessing in disguise. This team has no mojo right now and sleepwalks through most wins. Gets leads, blows them. They don't have a championship mindset at all. They get soft and stop skating. And the way they take care of the puck, you'd think possession was a bad thing the way they throw the puck around.

Hit the reset button. Move on from the worst goaltending performance in postseason history for the BC program.

Aw, come on Nick. Has 2003 faded from your memory? And not to worry as you guys had a game in hand to be able to lose. That was it. You’ve probably screwed BU, so that’s just a silver lining for you!

Matti!!!! Or, as he was called around here after that HE Semi, Bag of Cement >>>> Matti. *smile*

A normal performance from Knight and it's a comfortable win. Or if McLaughlin somehow didn't whiff on that open net. Or if we had a logical offside rule. As I alluded to, have to hope this was Knight's Russia game. He responded tremendously after that game.

Amazingly they haven't trailed in regulation in the last 6 games. Yet in those games they really haven't done a good job playing with these big leads. Tonight was more on the goalie but still troubling.

This team has so much talent, and yet they play like crap so often. I know I’ll get scolded for this, but it’s time for York to retire. He can’t get his players fired up at all. The coaching profession has passed him by. I love York with all my heart, but this is ridiculous. We have all this talent and yet we stand around half the time, we are soft as hell, we get hemmed in our own D-zone, we never have possession in games, and we constantly blow leads. We haven’t won a Hockey East title since 2012 and a Beanpot title since 2016. Far too often this team looks like they rarely practice together. This is not a championship team. The recruiting is fine. The coaching is a problem. North Dakota, Minnesota, Mankato, etc would wax us right now. I know I’m emotional right now, but I’ve felt that we needed a coaching change for a few seasons now. York has to let go of the reins. I hope this team proves me wrong in the tournament though

I was on the York retirement bandwagon a few years ago but really, calling for it after these past two seasons?

How about Mankato actually win a tournament game for the first time ever. It's North Dakota and then everybody else. No reason they still can't get to a FF. In fact you conveniently left out that BC has been to 2 FFs despite not winning HE tournament in 2014 and 2016.
