They also booed the BU WJC kids when they were honored I was told.
Time to move on from the WJC...it's big boy hockey now

Wow...that's embarrassing. I went to the game at Agganis on Friday (as a neutral, for the record) and there was nothing but applause and support for the BC World Junior contingent.
Very good point about the student presence - I heard BU's dorms weren't even open on Friday, so students weren't able to go. It was definitely a more reserved crowd than last night's.
As York said, it's not easy to win. They were just in the FF last year and lost a boatload of talent, more than anyone else in the country. This team is probably right where they should be right now.
Last night could have gone either way for sure. Oettinger had one of his best games so far. He is quietly putting together what could be a record year for BU (4 shutouts already, would have been 5 if he didn't have to leave for a skate malfunction). BC had long stretches in the offensive zone, BU's defense just seemed to be able t reach the loose pucks a split second quicker.
And it's not like Friday night was an easy win either. You guys certainly have the potential to make some noise.
Nick - I was actually impressed with BC's passing
Yea, their passes to no one were crisp as hell.
Wanted all three. But since one is gone, I'll settle for the next two. Nothing less.![]()
How about next ONE?![]()
As long as it isn't like 2005-2006 when BU beat BC 4 (5?) times only to get blanked by them in the NCAAs.
Four. We lost the first game of the three conference games, stole the Beanpot on the MacArthur baseball goal, stole the HE championship game when Curry stood on his head, then had to play them again a week later in the NCAA and finally gave in. Neither team's roster is comparable to those two teams' roster, however. Not necessarily worse or better, just very different compilation of players.
The talent in Hockey East is nowhere near the 2005 era...
