B1G Hockey: The Countdown Begins

Re: B1G Hockey: The Countdown Begins

Aww, you guys skipped it to play Alabama.

....How did that work out for you? Sucks actually playing other schools with similar resources and realizing how 2nd rate you are after all, doesn't it? 110,000 fans, hundreds of millions of dollars, and you've got as many national titles in the modern era as Colorado.

Similar? Look at alabama's players, and look at Michigan's. Michigan is building to become that, and right now they have a pretty good start with the #1 recruiting class in the country for 2013. Also had a BCS win last year and an 11-2 record. The goal here is to the win the B1G Championship.

Re: B1G Hockey: The Countdown Begins

That goes along well with you apparent goal (and satisfaction) in hockey to win the CCHA Championship.

That's what Michigan is. Win your conference, and then worry about the next one. And Michigan wins their conference more than anyone else. (See: Football & Hockey)

Re: B1G Hockey: The Countdown Begins

If Michigan wouldn't have run off from the WCHA like scared pups, they would not have won the conference (WCHA) more than anyone else. Put Minnesota North Dakota and Wisconsin in the CCHA and Michigan doesn't look quite so good. haha

winning the CCHA is like winning the Special Olympics. so, you really are special.

Re: B1G Hockey: The Countdown Begins

Do you see what's happening here? Normally, even though I know why you posted this (and it's a win), I'd be tempted to make a snide remark. Right now? Nothing...

I feel somehow empty inside. :(

Go ahead. I think you may need to so the world can be set right again. Besides, we're pretty much immune to football team shots.

It is quite bizzare. Dogs and cats, living together. Mass hysteria!

Re: B1G Hockey: The Countdown Begins

Look at the sig. Need I say more? Championship years don't lie.

speaking of all-time stats- can you name the one team michigan has played more than 20 times and has a losing record against? Minnesota 117-128-15

sure gonna miss the MN-nodak rivalry, but gophers-wolverines should be a good rivalry.. looking forward to the gophers reminding michigan that minnesota is better in the only sport that matters :)

Merry Christmas! ;)

Re: B1G Hockey: The Countdown Begins

Are there only 2 UMi fans here period? The success ratio isn't very strong.

I'm more disappointed in the apparent lack of MSU fans. You'd think they'd be piling on, but maybe they've just been beaten down by the almighty U.

Or maybe they're just above such fun.

I hope we're not gonna have to just talk hockey in the BTHC threads. How boring would that be? :(

They also choke away 3-1 leads to RIT at the vaunted Yost arena.
Did the refs screw you out of this one too?

With UMAA losing to RIT we have a little more ammo for this monkey knife fight :D

Re: B1G Hockey: The Countdown Begins

Little more credit where it's due, please?

Gave me a good chuckle. They only managed to put 4100 people in the building anyway.

Wasn't meant to take credit away from RIT at all, just to slap a certain Michigan fan with a dose of reality.
