ATTN: gawd awful hockey east teams--yes that is you uconn, maine, uhn, and NOTRE DAME

Festivus is officially over!

Maybe Festivus is over, but the demise of HEA teams has been greatly exaggerated, given their 7-3-0 OOC record this past weekend. BU and NU took care of business with their sweeps, while Maine and UHN notched upset wins. Mac humiliated AHA leader Bentley. If only Minutewagon had been able to take one from #2 PWR at Yost. But, overall it appears that HEA has solidified their 3rd place in OOC wins as a conference.

Glad somebody in HE is winning games and sweeping weekends...

HEA went 1-0-1 over the past week in the Bean Pot, bringing its OOC game totals to 54-39-8 (0.574), good for third place in the conferences.

Compare with (second paren is HEA record against each conference and independents):

AHC 22-48-4 (0.341) 6th (16-5-1)
BiG 48-19-4 (0.704) 1st (1-5-1)
CCHA 28-32-4 (0.469) 4th (1-5-0)
ECAC 41-58-14 (0.425) 5th (24-14-4)
NCHC 51-29-4 (0.631) 2nd (3-4-0)
independents (9-6-1)

Will be a travesty if HEA only gets one or two teams into the NCAA tournament, which could be the case as seven HEA teams are beating up one another for the low seed slots.

Don't see that every day. Now just need a college hockey NIT.

Yup. Weird, for sure.

One more HEA OOC win to report, UML over LIU.

On a hopeful note, as of the PWR moment, HEA would have three teams in the NCAA’s with UMass, BU, and NU, and ECAC only Quinnipiac, as Clarkson dropped out.
