This is the only event that makes the week between Christmas and New Year's tolerable. Love me some WJC. Team USA has a strong roster and I expect them to medal, hopefully gold.

USA has an excellent shot at a medal and an even 50-50 chance for gold. Be wary of both Russia (absolutely deadly up front) and Sweden. Canada does not have the goaltending to be considered a favorite for gold and in my opinion may struggle to even medal.

5-1 Canada after 2 periods of play. Canada playing some inspired hockey after their exhibition loss, but Finland looks really flat too. The US team definitely has a speed advantage over both of these teams. The transition game will be a big key for the US.
