Any Potential new DIII Programs and the future of the Northeast 10 DII teams?

Re: Any Potential new DIII Programs and the future of the Northeast 10 DII teams?

Well, that depends if you're talking about grid North, True North, or Magnetic North.........boy is this going to be a l-o-n-g summer.

And the magnetic poles are in the processs of flipping.

Don't worry, because it takes about 30,000 years to do so. But, boy are we f------ when it happens...

Only our magnetic compasses. As long as GPS still works we will be fine.

Oh, trust me, it's a lot more than just the compasses. We're screwed. Big time. And I'm not even talking about the protection the magnetic field provides us from certain types of radiation from the sky that will be "open" during the process of the fields flipping.

The good thing is, I have a pretty good feeling that I won't be around in 30,000 years...

Cheap joke:

I am not sure what "direction" this thread is heading.

I think we just need to continue to head south once we reach the south pole, I'm sure that is where the new DIII men's ice hockey teams are located - the new DIII Programs will come out in the fall, hopefully the price stays the same.

Re: Any Potential new DIII Programs and the future of the Northeast 10 DII teams?

Is this a joke or a serious post ?

The California University of Pennsylvania (west meets east), is a serious program, but alas, they are yet another NCAA DII school unlikely to move to NCAA DIII. IMO, offering ACHA (DI & DIII teams) is a wise choice - better than the BS NCAA DII "want-to-bees".

Note, they get their name from the city they are located in - California, Pennsylvania.

The California University of Pennsylvania "Vulcans" are not unique, University of Hawaii - Hilo also uses the "Vulcan" mascot.

Hawaii - Hilo's Vulcans is obvious a pean to the past as in the Latin god of fire, and the local volcano, not a reference to Star Trek.

BTW, folks. No more play-ups. They are deader than the Prezidential Three's title hopes....

I suppose that finally puts an end to any idiotic speculation about you-know-who going D-1.
