Freshman Forward Jared "Luko" Lukosevicius will wear #14 for the Pios.
At "The Campus" his is a familiar face, he's All-American, NCAA Champ, Jim Wiste, who wore #14 for the Pioneers. His brother, Wayne, wore #15.

DU Men's Soccer moved up to #12 in rankings released today. Very impressive. There are 202 Division I soccer teams.

Boston, a Goalie, is a 2001 birth year and should be in Denver for the 2019-2020 Season. In Canada Delta Prep is called Delta Hockey Academy.

(btw--his sister's name is Brooklyn)

Scoring Machine, Dallas Gaume, wore #12 as a Pioneer. As a junior he was only 1 point short of the Century Club--32-67-99! Career 78-188-266

Three DU All-Americans starting their NHL Pre-Season play.
Tampa Bay: Matt Carle
St. Louis: Chris Butler and Paul Stastny, who already who has a goal

Last Night: Kings' Nick Shore with 2 goals, Beau Bennett with Pens winning and only goal, Sens' Patrick Wiercioch with an assist.

Prolific scorer and All American Jerry Walker as well as the first Colorado raised Captain. J.P. Testwuide, wore #11.

DU's next opponent, the UC Dinos have their pre-season already well underway. They are currently 3-2, with an upcoming series this weekend with Regina before they head down to the United States to play the CC Tigers... a day before they invade the Mile High City.

One of the Dinos losses was to the Calgary Flames rookies. Doubt if the NCAA would aprrove :rolleyes:

Pioneer Hockey

Since 2002 #9 has been referred to as the California number--Gabe Gauthier, Rhett Rakhshani, Beau Bennett--and now Senior Forward Gabe Levin.

Before #9 became the California number, It was worn by a legend, Bill Masterton. MBA, All American, Team Captain, NCAA Champ x 3, NHL-- His character is recognized by the NHL with the presentation of the Masterton Trophy given to the National Hockey League player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.

BTW both Gauthier and Rakhshani were Team Captains and All Americans.

With only 24 more points needed for the Century Club, All American Junior Forward Trevor Moore will be wearing #8 for the Pioneers.
With 198 career points at DU, All American Dwight Mathiasen also sported #8.

One of my students was at a hockey tournament down in CT this weekend and got to see Emilio Peterson play. He said Peterson dominated the ice and made the super talented Comcast team look like amateurs. Anyone know what his status is with DU?
