Re: All Things Denver, XXX1X

Last evening and early this morning a new sheet of ice was put in place. General and light maintenance will continue over the course of the next few days after which time the ice will be put to use by various groups which have contracted to use the arena. The 2015-2016 season for Magness Arena is almost ready to begin.

Re: All Things Denver, XXX1X

Did you guys know that Doremus (Jack) is playing in Russia in the World Junior Cup Championship Tournament? He's with the Chicago Steel of the USHL, the American representative team in the tournament. They had a great first round, but They play tomorrow morning at about 5am for the Bronze.

Final note: USA got the Bronze Medal this morning. BTW, Peter Mannino is one of the Steel coaches.

Re: All Things Denver, XXX1X

Hey guys, 32 here. Asking this again, as still a relatively-new fan to college hockey...remind me again...The Calgary Dinos will have like 5 or 6 organized games/scrimmages under their belt by the time they get to Colorado next month? They play CC first (who SUCKS). Then we get them. So 6 games as an organized unit vs.... none for DU. How and Why does this happen?

2nd part of the question: Even more intriguing to me is - even under these circumstances, the Canada school is usually not really any makedly better than Denver on the ice. Are the Canadian schools just not up to par in skills? I mean no disrespect by asking that. Just on paper, you'd think the Canadians would be a somewhat-oiled machine by then.

Canadian colleges don't emphasize sports much.
