Re: All Things Denver, XXX1X

OK, Dmann, here's some news. the oft injured Beau Bennett expected to be back Wednesday for the Pens.

Beau Bennett‘s health — or lack thereof — has been a running theme in Pittsburgh over the last few seasons.

And now, there’s a new chapter to the story.

Bennett, who’s missed the last five games with an undisclosed injury, hurt himself celebrating a goal against Montreal on Oct. 13.

“It’s very unique the way the injury happened,” Penguins coach Mike Johnston said, per the team website. “But as the game is, anything can happen.

“Sometimes for Beau, that’s the way it goes.”

Re: All Things Denver, XXX1X

BC's goalie, Thatcher Demko, has strung together 3 straight shutouts. Pios need to S-C-0-R-E Friday night to break that run. Last March DU scored 5 against Demko-Arnold 2, Moore, Butcher, and LaLeggia. We know it can be done.

Marc Cheverie and Peter Mannino both have 3 straight shutouts. We certainly wouldn't want Demko to top them.

Another factoid:
BC lost to RPI. In that game RPI blocked 45 shots. Kasdorf made 29 saves for RPI.
In 4 games Pios have blocked 37 shots led by Zajac and VanVoorhis with 6 each.

BU lost last night. 2-5 UConn, not considered a hockey powerhouse. They play Merrimack Friday night before the Saturday AFTERNOON game against DU. 4:00 PM eastern--1:00 PM here on the left coast.

Hope our PP is energized because their PK broke down/imploded at UConn

Demko probably wasnt healthy for the entire two years he's been at BC. He's coming off double hip surgery and we hope this year we will get what we thought we were getting when he came in a freshman. He's finally healthy and hopefully taking the next step.
