Not too hard to be a good goalie when you average 25 shots per game. Why not give the honor to someone who actually breaks a sweat when they're in the net.

Re: All-Americans Watch 2013

Congrats to those recognized! Good luck to those playing this weekend!
Too bad the decision makers really made a mistake in the West...sorry but Jacobson really deserved the credit for his season! GAA 1.6148 only one better was Czarnota from Norwich but he only had 15 games. He was tied for the most shutouts with 6, logged 4th most minutes, save percentage was higher then the Stephenson and Soley. What more does one need to do to get rewarded for the time and effort...he clearly is at the top in D3!

Re: All-Americans Watch 2013

I thought Jacobson would have been in the POY discussion so you know where I would stand on him being on the AA team.

Re: All-Americans Watch 2013

Kinda sucks that more credit is given based on how the team did and not the player. If your team does good, THEN they look at you?

Like who? I do not see any thing wrong with the goalies on the All American East teams. But I do believe that Jacobson should have been on the west.

That is literally almost every award ever for MVP, AA, etc and its' always the debate of how to do it. Ie for MVP, do you give it to the best player on the best team, best player just overall even though team sucked, etc Also I would like ilikehockey to explain exactly who he is talking about in terms of goalies.

I would think awards should be based on individual accomplishments when it comes to these types of awards.. you have a goalie that is at the top of D-3 and he is not even mentioned... and as far as the comment give it to a goalie that breaks a sweat in the game so you need to make 30-40 saves a game to be a good goalie?? a goalie that makes 10 saves or 40 saves it shouldnt matter he made the save and the defense in from of that goalie says something as well...
