All-Americans Watch 2012

Re: All-Americans Watch 2012

Just curious because he was not on Amherst's roster the prior 2 years.

At Amherst for his first two years (07-09); transferred to Neumann for the 2nd half of the 09-10 season after leaving Amherst in the fall of that year; stayed home in alberta last year and returned to Amherst this fall for his senior year.

Because Hare was 3rd team All Conference he was not eligible for All American status. While McDonald is not my first choice for an All American based on his stats the people voting, just like with All Confrence teams, look at alot more than the player stats to decide.

What do you mean by ...Because Hare was 3rd team All Conference he was not eligible for All American status.

Re: All-Americans Watch 2012

3 nominees from the MCHA, from what I have seen:

Chris Stansik, D, Sr, Adrian
Zach Graham, F, Jr, Adrian
Jordan Keizer, F, Jr, MSOE

100% ......congrats !!

There were actually 4 players from the MCHA. You missed Connor Toomey. But i agree, congrats to the players representing the MCHA!

He was referring to my post from a month ago. Those were the three that were clear-cut from the MCHA, in my eyes. Toomey was not as clear, as his totals were right there with Shackell's, in terms of GAA and SV%. Therefore, I did not mention him in mid-February, when I made the original post. However, given his body of work, I have no problem with Toomer being an All American.

I "believe" you have to be on your 1st or 2nd All Conference team to be eligible for All American!

Still trying to get confirmation but I believe this is true. 3rd team or honorable mention isnt enough. Having said that I dont think Hare will care if his Lakers are the last ones standing Saturday night.....

I don't know which is a bigger joke: McDonald making the AA 3rd team, or Tim McCarver being elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame for his announcing.

Anything to do with Baseball is a joke;)
As an Elmira Fan, I too feel that McDonald was not AA material.

Ugh, and meanwhile Jacques Doucet remains on the outside looking in because he called games in French :(
