Thanks. My guess is once the Senate gets done the final number will be between $300 and $320 in state general funds and we will live to see another day, but there is still a lot that can happen.

The problem is, until oil turns around we are going to have this same stupid conversation every spring as long as the same stupid people are in office. We are paying the piper for letting big oil control the politics and economy in Alaska since the 70's.

Here's a fun stat! With tonight's shortie, the Nanooks have allowed 6 short handed goals on the year, but have also scored 6 short handed goals. One of those numbers is much better than the other.

Oh, 4-0 Tech in the 1st. Jenks may not make it out alive.

Announcers note that because of MTU’s speed they are easily getting down to the hash marks for shots. MTU may be fast, but we let every team get to the hash marks for quality shots. We do not know how or lack the defensive talent to play the man or stand someone up near the blue line. It’s been a big problem all year long. And lord knows our passing is so poor that we give opposing teams ample chances to prove that obsevation correct.

We must have learned how to skate at intermission because it's 4-2 now.

We can skate. 4-3 MTU. Luckily we haven't been called on to play too much D this period.
Is Koberstein out with an injury? He is listed on line chart, so it is not a coaches discretion (plus we haven't got enough healthy players to have a coaches discretion). I heard Bruce comment about Koberstein, but I didn't hear what he said.

Final 6-5 MTU. Good effort by a shorthanded team tonight. By my count, based on rostered players, we where without the services of T.Morley, Mullally, Vieth, Koberstein, and Froese (out all year).

Our Achilles Heel, turnovers at our blue line, ended up being the difference. Lets get’m tomorrow night.

Moral victory, in that these guys finally learned to play without Morley.

5 goals tonight equals the same output in the previous 5 games without him.

Crappy to lose with 37 seconds left but they showed a lot of guts coming back from 4-0.

Great effort tonight after a horrible start. Only stopped listening for the first part of the second until I saw the Nooks put one in. Glad to see Erickson rewarded tonight for his hard work all season. Nanooks gave up a lot of shots, Jones did great keeping the puck out enough to stay in the game. Hopefully Morley will play tomorrow, the Nanooks need another spark.

Did Jones get pulled? It looked like that when I read the stat sheet. Anyway, heartbreaking loss. Such an impressive come back! UAA had a game like that on the road recently, they were down 5-1 and came back to 5-4 and ran out of time. It makes the loss less painful, eh?

Jenks got pulled after the first period. Jones played the rest of the way.

I was really impressed with the Nanooks this weekend. They played really well and no one will want to play them if they make the playoffs. Jones in particular was great. Good luck going forward.

You guys were impressive this weekend, showed a lot of heart and grit. Jones was absolutely insane in net, some amazing saves and made some look easy that weren't and he was extremely sound positionally and impressed the hell out of me. You guys could be scary good next year, and I hope you finish out strong, I just don't want to see you in the playoffs. Hats off.

Thumbs up to the Tech fans and program...good luck the rest of the way!

Bummer of a loss but this team has had so many excruciating losses this year (including this weekend) that I'm just kind of numb to it right now.

Silver lining is they are learning to play without their best player, and guys are stepping up. Tech is a much better team right now but we didn't back down and generally went toe-to-toe all weekend (first period last night excepted).

Hopefully Anchorage loses tonight so we at least have a prayer on the final weekend. Then again, it might feel good to be put out of our misery.

I always hope UAA loses, but even if they win, a sweep next week would get us in the playoffs. If they lose tonight, we still need at least a win and a tie.

How is the tie breaker between UAA and UA_ determined if they end up with the same win/loss against each other?
