Alaska Anchorage at Michigan Tech Nov 7-8: Happy? Sad? Ponies will help!

That reviewer is full of crap. That is all. I've not found a scotch ale better than the ore dock.

Many of the limited-run taproom only offerings are simply excellent. Most of their weaker beers are the regulars.

You know what would be great? A UAA goal. From a forward.

Keep it rolling tomorrow night. We want 8.

You just might, tonight our boys looked like the old Seawolves in the WCHA. Coach better start yelling more, we had stretches of hope, but we had more stretches of ohhhhh shiiet.

Exactly not what we needed. Mantha is the real deal, why you say? Because coach started him as a freshmen, on the road, against a 6-0-0 team, who also was ranked #9. He was playing near as perfect as he could. I didn't get a good look at either goal, but I heard from Haider Mantha was screened by his own defensemen on the second goal. He should definitely get the start tomorrow.

He made the game close, that's for sure. Why wouldn't he start tomorrow?

I'm not going to say that Scott Allen and Brett Cameron haven't been trying. But I'd sit them both on Saturday if I was Thomas. And I might sit myself too if I was Thomas.

I'd sit you too if I was Thomas. While I'm unsure of your scoring ability, I do have questions about fitness... ;)

To be fair, it was a wicked turnaround shot that went up over his shoulder before he knew the puck was headed toward him. Gould made a tremendous play. Sure, the screen may have helped a little, but it was a hell of a surprise shot.

Tech shot from everywhere last night. UAA's powerplay was scary good, hope Tech can get on the board early tonight.
I love the interview with Thomas on the recaps, but I have a feeling UAA is going to be much better tonight.
Heinonen and L'Esperance played very well to match the size of UAA.
Gould has reached every day status, his recruited offense is now showing. He is confident.
The lineup last night might become the norm, but still have talent waiting on the bench to finally play.

Totally agree. I have been extremely disappointed in both of these players. No senior leadership on the ice that we can see. Coach needs to send a message. I didn't get to watch the game and only listened to the first and third periods in the car. Did they look as bad as they did last weekend? The shot differential was disgusting. Where is our defense?

Pretty sure he means Thomas might/should sit. Don't think DD was real pleased with some of Matt's strategy as far as lines are concerned.
To me it's nice that this year we've finally got the talent to have choices to make.
That said his pulling Mantha that early for the extra attacker was a gutsy move that's hard for anyone to dispute.
It's a new day and a great day to be a Seawolf!

They did not look good. We definitely dominated play. Which is something I'm still not used to...

Just got back from watching a curbstomping of Iowa football. Now ready for some Saturday night hockey! Keep it up, Huskies!

Re: Alaska Anchorage at Michigan Tech Nov 7-8: Happy? Sad? Ponies will help!

Lines are out on @UAAHockey, going 7 defensemen again.
