Alaska Anchorage at Alabama Huntsville: Time to party like it's 1992!

Re: Alaska Anchorage at Alabama Huntsville: Time to party like it's 1992!

Does anyone know when the team is flying out? Curious how much time they will have to adjust to the time change, again. Poor guys!

Isn't AH in same time zone as MSP? Central time. 3 hour difference.

They are pulling in to Huntsville Thursday, traveling late in the week because they are going as they say ......one of those easy east road trip's.

Assuming seems to quite often backfire. So assuming Kurt will be on 550am today and 650am tomorrow and that The Crossbar can dial in any hockey video from anywhere on the planet where can video of the game be watched from the comfort of my living room?

You will be stuck with me! Poor y'all. I have no idea which side of the board I'll be working from, but the reason that I asked about names is because I think I'll be doing PBP. I want to get kids' names right. I'm not great with PBP, but you'll have a sense of what's going out there (hopefully).

UAHStatman will be the guy on our tweets @weloveuahhockey. No, we won't be selling tickets and popping popcorn.

GFM <— trying to set low expectations so he can exceed them.

I'm sure you'll do great! :) Current weather shows it's 18 degrees warmer in Anchorage right now than in Huntsville.. (super windy here though, at least the part of town I'm in)

Have fun tonight Geof and... who was it from here that was going down? ..Sorry, I forgot.. :o I'll try to scroll through the posts and find out before my electricity gets knocked off by this wind!

Alaska Hockey made the trip down. Very windy and rainy all day here in Palmer, but it has finally stopped.

It'sjustagame ...it'sjustagame ...it'sjustagame

Congrats to the Chargers ... Corbs put together a solid game plan tonight. UAA going 0 for 6 on the pp? Unacceptable. Put the pedal to the metal tomorrow Seawolves, you need a win to remain in a position to get home ice!! Go Wolves!!

BTW, the UAH goalie has a tactic that reminds me of former UAA player Lawson. Lawson always lost his helmet when things got intense around his net ... and the UAH goalie "accidentally on purpose" knocks his net off the moorings. I did see the ref talk to him once about it, but sooner or later you have to call a delay of game penalty on that.

If it was any other team I would be happy for UAH. They deserve the tie. Will be cheering for a UAA win on Saturday.

We'll take it! I was tentatively optimistic going into the third, because I always fear the "snowball." One mistake leading to a bad goal, which leads to about three or four more.

I'm also glad the largest home crowd of the season saw the most exciting home game of the season. Anything to create returning customers.

I'm happy for your fans too. Jordan Kwas is going to see that OT breakaway attempt in his sleep. Ugh.

I thought that was curtains.

Yeah, Matt has been doing that all season. I'm really surprised that he hasn't been whistled for it. I know that he mainly does it on R-L push and probably isn't intentional about it, but come on.

Seawolves ... step on their throats tomorrow night. That is all. :)

How bad do our jerseys look on screen? I don't like the look on ice, and as you probably gathered from the broadcast, I was ... not a fan of them for readability's sake.

Kurt Haider said he had a hard time reading them as well. They didn't really look very camo to me, mainly black. BTW, you were still being heard when you referred to them as ... well, USCHO won't let me post what you said. ;)
