They need to clean house and get somebody who knows how to coach hockey and people. This coach is done the game has passed him by, feel bad for players they were better when the year started, all the teams get better as the year goes on, this team goes backwards. Thats bad coaching fire them or fold this is pathetic, unwatchable hockey.

It's so frustrating because the score did not represent the game. Holy Cross did the little things right. They finished. They got open and the player with the puck was able to find the open guy enough to make a difference. We had open shots, but hit legs so many times. Hit two posts, missed two partially open nets. Today we missed the net more than the goalie stood out for H.C.
I wonder about Meisner and the 3rd goal. I don't know if it just surprised him, he played it wrong, or that shot he took in warmups in Niagara is still effecting him.
For next year, Hoshaw really really needs to learn how to take the puck from the boards and make a play with the puck. I'm also annoyed with the way they pass it back and forth behind the net, hoping the other team will give up on chasing the puck while not being ready to make any other move other than passing it back to the other player. They are doing it less than they use to, so I guess that is one good thing.

I am glad a few players are hitting. Of course you don't hit for hitting sake, but when you can make a hit and keep the other guy from the play, or get an advantage in the play, or keep the other team from getting fancy, like H.C. was doing in the third, then hitting is absolutely necessary.

Actually thought the boys played well, especially in a fast paced third. Score was not indicative of the play. Once again missed open nets. Work on shooting accuracy coach. Some break downs in coverage and tying up guys around the net caused problems. Meisner was back in form.

Let's work on 3 periods of good play, goaltender and defensive consistency and hit the net on the shots.

I dont know what your watching but there is enough talent on this team to play with anybody. The problem is the coaches have low expectations, and reward players who make the same mistakes, they sit players that have played well. There has got to be a full change in the program to suceed, if they want to salvage the rest of the year they should shake things up and sit guys that dont come to play, its not hard to pick out.

I was at both games. Thought they looked terrible on Friday and competitive on Sunday. All the goals are a blur because there were so many of them.:eek:

Hopefully these coaches need to shake things up with the line up, the offense has been invisable and the defense has not played well either. Any sugestions for new line combinations out there list. Lets evaluate players and possible line combos that could work because what they have is not, most of the players they have together dont complement each other. Line combos and power play list.

I wonder how Penny would do with Archibal? Penny seems to know where to be on the ice, and Archibal is as good of a play maker as the team has.

Sliwinski made some noise early, but he's been quiet as of late, so I don't know where i'd like to see him.

I've like #22 Fagerheim on the 4th line. His forechecking is great! But again, who to put him with? Maybe Mele and Puskar when he gets back.

I know the coaches hate it when Primiani goes up the ice with the puck, but I really like it. I think he has some untapped offensive skills that could catch the opposing team off balance at times. If you have a team(AIC, the other players on the ice) that is aware of it, you can account for a possible mistake. I think he could set up a player like Penny or Pleskach nicely.

I'd like to know who the players would like to have on their line.

I know last year I wanted to see the Mele brothers on the same line. They were for a while and they were great! Now it's tough to find players as they don't have any time to really play together on the same line as one game they will be together, the next they will be switched up.

Plus.. if you know you have players that are tired, injured, hurting a little in grades... DON'T PLAY THEM! Put someone else in their place. I know there have been some issues with injuries, but you have to get some of the players who haven't had a lot of ice time a chance to play.

I can tell you this.. there are at least two people I know who would love to get behind the bench when Wright retires, and I know of at least one who will throw their name in the hat.

The Defense right now looks lost they dont know how to break out of the zone they just panic and turn the puck over, the d is the weak point of the team after looking good in the beginning of the year. Why isnt primarani playing hes a skilled sr d man that can move the puck and skate with it. Friday night the best line was the fourth line of Lietner Grosso and Sander, They seemed to be the only line moving the puck winning battles and looking for each other. They didnt play much, it was 5-0 then grosso scored a nice goal from the slot off a pretty feed from lietner. Where have these players been lietner has been in and out of the line up and grosso has not played in the last few he was playing defense thought he was one of the better d men he moved the puck well. Saturday was a good effort but two costly turnovers from the defense cost them the game, team also seemed to run out of steam, pleskach and mele played well but there are to many new forwards that skate all over the ice but dont produce the team needs guys that can score. I agree if your not winning with the guys you think are the top guys then there not your best change is needed. Someone at AIC needs to see whats going on with the hockey program and make changes before the most talented team AIC has had in years has another losing season.

I'm only going to say this: unless you've been with the team for a long time, and know what goes on with the inner workings of this team, you cannot properly place all the blame on Gary Wright. He's not out there trying to lose...every loss kills the man inside.

I hope they take the puck right up the middle against Army. It seemed like that Army was stopping anything on the edges, but both goals were scored from drives right up the middle. Seems the puck would get lost in feet, and their D couldn't find the puck. Fortunately our players were able to find the puck two times in that game. I think we need to take a page from many of the other teams and send a follower into the zone behind(or to the side, I guess watch the game tape) and pick up the puck as it becomes loose if the guy with the puck can't keep control.
Their goalie also looked very beatable when you come straight at him, but looked comfortable when guys came around the edges.

I hope the young D does improve. They have been called on a lot this year. I just hate when they panic and throw the puck up the boards blindly. But even the cross ice passes are risky. Bentley read Blanchette on his two cross ice passes and one was stolen if I remember correctly.
I'd like to see a little more skating up the ice before throwing it up the boards. The quicker they learn to protect the puck from a player behind them, while moving their legs, the better this team will become.
Get the young coaches out there in practice harassing them, and then give them suggestions on how to protect the puck, yet move forward at the same time.

Been following the team since going to the Atlantic I dont believe its all him the biggest problem I see right now is the d breaking out of the zone and making plays, they panic and turn the puck over they also get over powered in front of there goalie. I believe the head coach loves the game hes has been doing it for a long time, what do you believe it is and what needs to be done.

Looking forward to Army this weekend hope they can turn things around and get hot going into playoffs. We need to have somebody get hot and step up anybody. We need scoring, they need to move the puck and play for each other, anything can happen in the playoffs.

Yes last weekend was tough, the defense needs to move the puck more, but there were a couple of bright spots on offense that we need to see more of. Also this team needs to roll all the lines more, players need to take shorter shifts, that will help keep the energy level up so they dont wear down by the 3rd period like they have been doing.

Especially against Army. Army does not quit. They might not have the best skilled players, but what they do have is heart and tenacity. We are actually lucky to have left Olympia with a tie last time. Army simply missed the net way too much late in the game.

Really good game! I was thinking at the end of the game, the final score was AIC 5, Meisner 1 and the refs 1. The refs were quite inconsistent tonight. and I thought Army got chippy at the end. I guess they're human, even if they are Army cadets.

The team was patient and got around Army's trap. The passing was really good, a lot of creative stuff. The second goal was a thing of beauty! No goals in the third, but it wasn't really a bad period, just seemed like some questionable calls. The D did play real well for all the time they were on the penalty kill.

Army should be tough tonight. Looking for revenge from an embarrassing loss and back in their own barn. Love West Point so heading to the game tonight. Need the sweep. Go AIC!

Between waking up with a headache which won't go away. (I've become essentially allergic to pain relievers this year too, sadly) and it is snowing here right now. I'm missing my 4th game this year.

Hopefully the audio is ok.

just checked the Army recap of the game. Their story for Army's first goal is amasing for people who were at the game.
"Lalor ended the shutout moments later when he fired in his fourth goal of the season. Lalor brought the puck up the length of the ice, fired in a long shot and then knocked home the rebound. "
