#7 Vermont at #2 Univ.New Hampshire HE quarter final

Re: #7 Vermont at #2 Univ.New Hampshire HE quarter final

This makes no sense what so ever. How can your harrassment be misconstrued to be free speech, and where in my post did I remotely try to censor you? Moreover, you twit, Vermont was in the not so distant past a right leaning state and became a leftist state only after the invasion of the m*******s and flatlanders. Not that it makes a difference other then displaying your ignorance and propensity for ranting on topics you are clueless about. Do you have anything coherent or remotely on topic to discuss troll, or are you going to just continue to invade a hockey game thread with your nonsensical and off topic posts?

Go drag down your own thread. If you wanna talk about the upcoming games, great! If you and chickod are gonna get into a dick swinging competition, take it elsewhere.

Re: #7 Vermont at #2 Univ.New Hampshire HE quarter final

Yes, but you had the BEST cheer I've ever heard (of course, this is when both benches were on the same side)..."This is the WINNING team!! (pause....) This is the LOSING team!! (pause...) [Pointing to UNH...] WINNING TEAM!!! [Pointing to BU...] LOSING TEAM!!! WINNING TEAM!!! LOSING TEAM!!! etc.
That cheer is still around (in a slightly different form). It's a beloved call-and-response cheer, but isn't heard much these days, as the games seem to be closer more regularly.

True, but it just LOOKED so much better visually with both teams right next to each other and the pointing going back and forth from right behind the benches! Ahhh...the good 'ole days :) (I threw that in because I knew it would just get the anti-nostalgia people riled up again) :D

Re: #7 Vermont at #2 Univ.New Hampshire HE quarter final

 It wouldn't have gotten me into Harvard for post-grad work, that's for sure! ;)
;)

Speaking of Harvard, when I was there they had a helluva good forward named Phil Falcone.

He went into investment banking, and is now a multi-billionaire. Made $825 million in 2009 alone -- and that was after the market crashed.

Enough to make him one of the country's ten top investment bankers by personal earnings. See table of top 10 posted a few weeks ago at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-11942117

Not exactly "****ing Chrysler plant here I come!", eh?

Umm maybe you should read through the thread and direct that comment to the offender. I'm a UVM fan, this is my thread. Dickod would be the one that is dragging down the thread. I believe I am talking about the upcoming games (you will note that I am actually just about the ONLY ONE talking about the UPCOMING games).

For the record, telling someone to go somewhere else is about the stupidest thing you can really say. Has it ever worked in the history of this forum?

Ted Ryan's article on the upcoming series. Not very optimistic about the Catamounts chances

Hey guys, the forum police have issued the order to keep in on this weekends upcoming games.

Re: #7 Vermont at #2 Univ.New Hampshire HE quarter final

Sure. You too.

I is relaxed. My only issue was you were arguing with chickod (who seems to be thankfully absent) - and there was no way to win with a guy like him. Logic holds no power over some posters, and I was hoping you'd just let the argument with him die (which you ended up doing anyway).

I think you took my quoting you as a personal attack - and responded in turn - but the reasoning behind quoting you was that you're a reasonable poster, and generally when somebody has a legit issue with you, you take the criticism well. Don't take it so personally. Relaaaaaaaaaaaaax . . . and check your rep. If I really had a problem, would I have said that?

Work is boring the hell out of me today. Time to drop the puck! Jcarter, you travelin' this weekend?

Interesting that this is the aspect that the forum police would choose to issue an order on, given all the flaming that occurs. I thought, for example, that zoofer's posts on how he -- as a player actually on the ice -- felt in two key games in UNH hockey history (1977 final in Boston Garden) were not only fascinating, but a reason this board is so special.

That conversation was happening here -- so be it. There's arguably not an immense amount of drama among UNH fans about this weekend's series -- certainly less than there has been for quarterfinals in recent years. And I think he's dead on when he says it's important for younger fans to know what players went through (facility-wise, for example) in the old days to help get get program where it is today.

I'll apologize if I've gotten too off topic myself, and I'm just a fan. On the other hand, I've posted over 8,000 times, and all except these 20 or so have been on the Scores Update thread, rather than elsewhere on the Div 1 Board. So that puts me .9975 to the good. ;)

Will any UVM students get arrested at the Whittemorgue this time around? :P

Re: #7 Vermont at #2 Univ.New Hampshire HE quarter final

What's the over/under on attendance for tonights game? Can we get 4000 for game 1? Last year was 3700. My guess is 3600 for tonight as the rains will keep some folks home.

I was gonna say right around half, or so . . . so yeah, 3500ish.

What's sad is that's usually a high number for around HE.

Ugh, if the crowd's as thin as some are fearing, those twerps could end up with seats in the middle of the GA section.

jcarter - the key is to simply stop fueling the flames.
