I don't know about you guys, but I'm sitting here waiting for that link to become active. I think this is gonna be a great tournament, where 6 of the 8 teams have a legitimate shot of winning it all.

Sauvé it is I think -- she was first out of the tunnel and is taking all the warm ups (or most, anyway)

While I want to wish '86 & pgb and TTT & QR the best, I hope that luck isn't much of a factor in today's game. May the team that plays the best hockey win.

Are these HEA officials or ECAC? They don't have any names on their outfits.

I remember noting that last year. You either have to recognize them, or wait until you see the names in a box score later on. (I don't recognize them from WCHA, but I haven't gotten a good look, either.)

The 1st period started a little slow (nerves maybe?) but the pace quickly picked up. Ohio State with the clear edge in chances, but couldn't get one past Burt, who's been outstanding. I'm curious why the Buckeyes aren't trying to move the puck in closer on the power play. They are relying on one-timers from far out, and so far none have found the net.

Well, they had at least one one-timer that was closer than I have to stand to the toilet. :D

I think this is something you'll see their coaches address in the intermission. When you have a goaltender that's on, you have to create movement and screens in front of her and crash the net for second changes.

Buckeye's score on power play. The refs do have whistles in BC, unlike at Ridder.

Thus far, it is visible that OSU has the better blue line.

Buckeyes do have 3 outstanding D in Dunne, Sadek and Boyle. Might be the best top 3 in the NCAA. Quite a drop off after but all 3 handle 30-40 minutes a game.

It probably comes down to what one likes out of D. Clarkson has three good ones in Harmon, Shelton and Pozzebon. Wisconsin has Gardner, Rolfes, and Steffen. There are some nice trios.
