#4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

Wow. Cornell survives a bit over 2 minutes of 5x3 in the period with no goals allowed. End of 2, 2-1 Cornell, with @20 seconds of PP left for Mich starting the 2rd

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

Umm...yeah. Glad the PK seems to have come together at the right time! Refs: can we get some 5x5 in the 3rd? Please?

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

any opinions not colored by Red glasses on that last roughing call? Sure seemed ticky tack to me.

Holy Flashback!

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

Not to be Captain Obvious here, but Cornell needs to stay out of the freaking box.

Go Red!

I think most of the calls have been a bit so-so. The Roughing call, the Penalty shot, the Major and the Cross Check all could have been ignored.

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

Well.... both teams need to stop taking cheap shots.... I got tuned in about 3 minutes into the second. Every penalty that's been called has been a reasonable call. Not sure about the penalty shot awarded to Cornell, because I thought he got a shot off (not a good one, but something). It was definitely a hook, though.

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

The red and the yellow jerseys are freaking my eyes out. It's like that old Microsoft color scheme "Hot Dog Stand."

My wife kept complaining about the combo of the two teams and finally went to bed after the second. She really hates Maize, but then again, who doesn't?

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

Microsoft Bob was totally underrated.

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

And a high-stick against Cornell. Not sure I'd have called it myself, but he did get the stick in the Mich player's face, so not truly a bad call.

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

Our old Packard Bell 486 once farked up on startup and kept playing the "ta-da" sound on loop until you shut it down. Nightmare fuel.

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

Where are the Mich fans?

Not watching basketball...

Re: #4 Cornell vs. #1 Michigan - NCAA Midwest Regional

Michigan ties it up with 4:01 left in the 3rd. Getting lots of shots on, with a player in front to pop the rebound in.
