Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

Word is that Brewer will Veto the Arizona Bill.

In other words, she wimped out.

Perhaps somebody informed her that when you start passing laws legalizing discrimination, you might get some forms of it that you don't like. For example, an establishment that decides it doesn't want to serve Jews.

I don't know what's going on in Arizona, but we're past the point where its citizens ought to be sick of being the butt of jokes nationally due to a clown show state legislature. While I don't expect them to start electing flaming liberals, but aren't there any normal cons over there who can primary these jackoffs?

ROTFLMAO

The Normal Cons are the ones who are and should be primaried. After all, the Jackoffs are the ones that reflect the true values of the party.

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

It's so nice to hear that people from outside the northeast are so concerned about 9/11. Would have been more useful when every air force base north of DC was closed, including the only base that launched fighter jets before the second tower was hit, but no one seemed that worried about leaving the entire northeastern US without air cover. But your concern is appreciated.

Of course, I'm not sure what a few extra soldiers would have done to prevent the attacks either.

However, we must not allow history to repeat itself, therefore all aircraft carriers and battleships in the Pacific should abandon Pearl Harbor and move operations back to San Diego.

"From outside the northeast?" "A few extra soldiers?" Epic twaddle.

And you know this how?

NBC News and the LA Times.

Reportedly Brewer "doesn't want to take any actions that could jeopardize the economic momentum" in Arizona. She was also asked by three GOP legislators who had voted for the measure that they had changed their minds and requested a veto.

 How does this legislation affect the meth trade, which is Arizona's only industry? :D

"We voted for this to make our constituents happy now bite the bullet and veto this thing because seriously, this is 2014."

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

That's the word. You think she won't? Either way I win. If she does she's a wimp and if she doesn't she's a lunatic. Win win as far as I'm concerned.

How do you figure "you" win? Anything, anywhere that allows you to preen is a win? It's not even theoretically possible she opposes the bill on its merits?

Back from your sabbatical? My question referred to the use of the word "wimp." But in a subsequent post your friend, ally and mentor? admitted it doesn't matter what she does in this instance. What's important here is for libtards everywhere to maintain the ability to sneer.

This would be the same NBC that edited tape to make George Zimmerman look like a racist? And the same New York Times that reported on a McCain "affair?" Got it.

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

The NY Times is now the same as the LA Times. Good to know.

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

The NY Times didn't report on a phony McCain "affair?" Front page. Above the fold.

Before you dig any deeper, you might want to reread what I originally wrote and see that you mixed up LA and NY...

Yeah, I'm really confused as to how this bill is a win or a lose for anyone in MN.

Well, if it becomes law then the rest of the country will benefit from the tourism dollars that won't be spent there - at least some of which will theoretically be spent in Minnesota. There's also the Super Bowl that won't be played in Phoenix but it's unlikely that will move to Minneapolis.

Former World Chess champion and Chairman of Human Rights Foundation Garry Kasparov tweeted the following
Garry Kasparov ‏@Kasparov63 Feb 22
I've said it before, but if Barack Obama had been president instead of Ronald Reagan, I'd still be a citizen of the Soviet Union.

He has a few more zingers - he spares no one.

Mostly transparent, but somewhat thought-provoking political personality quiz from Time; I'm 75% liberal.
edit: I say thought provoking meaning interesting how they pigeonhole people: apparently I'm a liberal because I would rather go to a museum than Times Square (I hate Times Square and everything about it) etc. Not to provide more spoilers but they say it's quite accurate as far as those people self-reporting their leanings go.

They pigeonhole you by not taking into account "slight" vs. "moderate/strongly" answers.

You don't think Akin was a win win for Minnesota? If that *** clown hadn't opened his flap we'd likely have a GOP senate right now.
