2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

No, I didn't. The archived posts show i didn't. I was making fun of your reaction to a joke about jan brewer being your girlfriend. I never once commented on your wife, only what you were saying. I will post the entire conversation from home tonight if you want proof. It's all there in the "The Power of SCOTUS III" thread begining at post 899.

Where I was mistaken is that I didn't even make the original post. Rover did.

It is correct that I first made the Bob Gray - Jan Brewer connection and then when he took it as a slight to his wife I apologized (I think?) and took down the post.

Jeeze, I guess I shouldn't read the news, eh? http://www.usatoday.com/story/theov...ile-sesame-street-justice-department/4343875/

I just don't happen to think the Sesame Street gig is as important as his defense of Mumia, though you may disagree.

Funny in that article you posted there's nothing about him defending Mumia. So I ask again, where did that info come from? Are you saying you saw a random headline in USA Today to a lower level govt position, decided to google the name all on your own and came across the Mumia connection that way? If so, then my statement about you finding a hobby stands. If not, then own up to where you got that from...

What the hell do you care and why does it matter where the info came from? It's public record. If it came from the Huff post article does it make it more meaningful than if it came from Town Hall or Drudge? I do think it's notable that the USA Today talks about his being on Sesame Street and Huff Post talks about his time at the NAACP and one does have to go to a conservative site or dig deeper to see about his defense of Mumia. Must be that liberal bias to the facts, eh?

Why does it matter? Simple. This is one of the dumb @ ss OUTRAGE OF THE DAY!!!!!!! talking points that mindless sheep parrot out here from right wing sites in an effort to....well, you explain what exactly your point is? Seems pretty juvenile to me.

If Mumia is who I think he is (Philly cop killer from about 30 something years ago) then despite his scumbagness he's entitled to a defense. So is Whitey Bulger. So are the various serial killers out there. The reason why these people are entitled to a defense is that you might get the wrong person (which doesn't apply in this case from what I know about it IMHO) and before the state starts executing people they ought to make sure they have a trial or someone advocating for their position.

The post is still there. You said you wouldn't make such jokes in the future. I went back to read it since Bob is so adamant that I made multiple comments about his wife that I wanted to be certain my own memory was correct.

Frankly, after rereading the actual posts, I still don't see what I did that was any worse than what numerous others post daily. And I don't care if Bob has me on ignore. But it does tick me off that he's accusing me of crossing a line that I never crossed in some passive aggressive whine fest behind said ignore function.

So are all the lefties giddy about Obama's nomination of Debo Adegbile, noted apologist for and defender of a cop killer, to head up the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ?

I don't give a fark one way or the other. But I would say that I dont think being a defense attorney should disqualify him from the job per se. Especially when your professional rules of ethics require you to zealously advocate for your clients.

Thanks for the info. Thought I'd deleted it or edited it but my bad. While I had no intention of insulting Bob's family, if something I posted is taken that way then as I'm out here for amusement and not for blood I'd prefer to defer to the person in question. One never knows how comments will be taken personally as for the most part we don't know each other outside of the board but in deference to Bob I've ceased making jokes about any Jan Brewer connection.

It makes me feel about the same way I feel about John Adams who defended British Soldiers in the Boston Massacre. The law dictates everyone gets a defense, even Mumia.

Now if you are going off the idea that the guy might be honestly advocating that Mumia is innocent, then pretty much anyone who went to college is disqualified in your mind because every fall on hundreds of campuses idiot students wear "Free Mumia" t-shirts and have meetings and such.

Sorry man but I think this is a non-story.

Oh, and just in case you were wondering if the Bone Man was going to finally get on with his Jobs, Jobs, Jobs focus for the House think again.

House Republicans Kick Off 2014 With Renewed Focus On Abortion, Birth Control

My favorite part of all this was the knuckledragger critique of the War on Poverty. What are the Rubio's of the world proposing? That's right - tax cuts and regulation rollbacks. Ummm...if that actually worked, why wasn't the GWB era the greatest job creating 8 years of all time?

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

No. Nasty old (and young) conservatives wear flags and crosses on their lapels and pretend to represent God.

Me thinks that God would like some new spokespeople.

I'll take open minded - which I am - over clutching my bible while wrapped in a flag and waiting for the white world as we know it to end.

As I say: your bigotry and prejudices aren't either. At least in your mind.

Every time I see one of those shirts I've often wondered to what extent, if at all, Abu-Jamal gets a cut of everything, from the shirts, to the movies, to the books. It always makes me think of that cynical comment uttered by someone in the late 70's regarding the death of Elvis -- good career move.

And where do the profits on the Che merchandise go? I mean, the nasty murdering little commie scumbag b*stard died in a ditch. Aren't the leftys who proudly wear that sh*t concerned they may be ripping off his heirs?

Lol.

Look everyone, gramps is up!

By "up" are you referring to being awake. . .or something else? As Richard Lewis says: "If I had an erection lasting for hours, I'd call everyone I know."

It was. The problem was that all the money that ran that economy was borrowed from the housing market and that went bankrupt. Remember, Bush II led the great ownership society.

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

Cuomo: " But I’m sure it is as Gov. Christie says it is.”

MSNBC: Of course, if Cuomo was actually sure, he probably wouldn’t have paused for a full six seconds

If that's not conclusive evidence, I don't know what is. Were Fox to report this this way, Priceless would be giving birth to a cow right about now.

Just an FYI. They found the smoking gun and Christie had to spend two hours today explaining to the press how everyone lied to him. But, you continue to blame the messenger. After all, the press never gets it right, especially the left wing press.

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

*** I go away for a few days and no one has helped Bob climb up onto his cross yet? If you don't hammer him to it he's just going to get down so he can climb up again later.

Gotta agree with Scooby here regarding Christie. The press is either in love or afraid of him, and that's more on the left than on the right.

See, a lot of liberal press people spend their lives in fear of being called "bias" not understanding that they will never not be called biased by the people who make money exploiting every perceived slight (the right wing media). The minute they think they've found a Republican they can latch onto, they grab ahold like grim death (see McCain, John). Cuomo is a sackless as Bob Schieffer, Tim Russert (that's right, I said it), Lara Logan (figuratively speaking), Wolf Blitzer, John King, etc etc etc. It took Rachel freakin Maddow, not exactly a superstar investigative journalist, 3 months of hitting the story before the lamestream media finally gets around to reporting on yeah, gee whiz... I guess the bridge WAS closed for political reasons.....now lets get a quote from Dan Issa about Benghazi so nobody accuses us of playing favorites!!!!!! Oh, and puleeze don't be mean to us governor Christie!

I can't speak for every right winger, but the notion that the MSM is too hard on Chris Christie is laughable. If Christie ever stops short the Beltway Media crowd is going to end up half way up his enormous @ ss.
