Oblahblah grovelling before dictators again. :D

But seriously, Obama's got it right here. Very few people have cared about continuing the embargo and those draconian travel restrictions since at least the end of the Cold War.

Re: 2nd Term Part IX - How Lame is my Duck

While I'm not advocating she run for Prez, Lizzy Warren's political skills are underrated nationally. She has that rare ability in Dem circles to frame issues in a way that people can understand. Instead of blah blah blahing about every nuance in Wall St tax break policy, during the last budget debate she simply put it as does anybody really think Wall St needs less regulation and should be left alone to do their thing since that worked out so well last time?

So, I like her where she is. It gives the eventual Hillary nomination a pipeline to arch liberals like Kepler who are dying for a reason to vote for a lost cause like Bernie Sanders (see Nader, Little Ralphie). Sorta like how Howard Dean running the DNC brought lefties home to the Dems who were in the wilderness after Wellstone passed away.

We aren't going anywhere but the Dems, you know that. There is nowhere else to go. Yes, I would like to nominate somebody from the Democratic wing of the Democratic party, but on November 8, 2016 I'll be yanking my crank for Hillary.

Just don't ask me to be happy about it. :(

She can redeem herself with a fire-breathing liberal VP. joecct's TR notion isn't that far from the truth: it was the only way "that dangerous lunatic" who wanted to bust the trusts was ever going to become President.
