Re: 2nd Term Part 5: Big Brotha

Great article. What ever happened to the Benghazi probe?

http://www.politico.com/story/2013/07/benghazi-investigation-libya-issa-94386.html?hp=l1

I'm going to publicly call out the USCHO conservatives on this one. You guys were all hot to trot on this, so what gives? Time to step up to the plate and explain your treasonous comments! :D

In particular, why won't Congressman Grand Theft Auto schedule the public testimony of Mullen and Pickering? He promised to after all, and doesn't the public have a right to know??? Is Issa covering up his own investigation?

The last sentence tells you all you need to know...they still haven't gotten around to doing anything relative to preventing another one...you can spend your time scouring the internet to try to blame one side for everything under the sun but why isn't the article entitled "Nobody on either side pushing agenda to prevent another attack!" ?

As I said months ago, when Clinton was only worried about lashing back at opponents and covering tracks, they don't care about what is important, only what is political. That you fall into their spell and also ignore the important for the purpose of the political just demonstrates how big a problem our two parties have become. They know, no matter what, you will disregard anything suggesting your color did something wrong and attack the other color. Used to be they had to leak stories or lies to 2 reporters to fight back on something...now they just have minions like yourself too busy dishing it out to smell what you are shoveling.

Oh so that's what the republicans were so up in arms about.

This is what I love about conservatives. They all follow the same script. Make a baseless accusation, get called on it, and then adopt a persecution complex when their BS is exposed.

Pirate claims that nothing is being done to prevent another tragedy. That is a slander and an insult to both the military and the state department, who presumably no matter their political affilations don't like seeing fellow diplomats getting killed.

And just how DOES pirate know nothing's being done to prevent this from happening again? Does he have contacts in the govt? Or did Fox Cable tell him so? What about that investigation and report that Hillary testified on? I suppose that was just part of a massive cover-up, right?

Funny how the ideology that's supposed to be so pro-military will slander said military as soon as its politically convenient.

Time for you to put your money where your mouth is. Show that something IS being done to prevent another tragedy, even if it's pulling embassies out of those countries. You're accusing pirate of slander, so present your case. Or are YOU making a baseless accusation?

Read the article you quoted. You posted it, not me.

Scroll down to page 7. The section titled "Recommendations".

Now time for YOU to put up or shut up. Given that I've answered you challenge, my challenge to you is to go out and try to hook up this weekend so your posts come Monday will be a lot less angry and nonsensical! Do we have a deal? :D

Moving the goal post is not a case.

No, my point was that you ignored the whole point of my post to comment on what republicans were complaining about.

So, I never moved anything. If you doubt it, search my posts on this subject and see if months ago I said nobody was focusing on fixing what went wrong.

If it is only about what the republicans do wrong, if that is your only measurement of success, if "right" is only proving the other guy was "wrong" then I rest my case.

You've been a lovely witness.

Those recommendations, including the one saying they should begin following the 1999 recommendations, unless there is a waiver. Appear to be a list of platitudes.

How could there be a waiver on a directive regarding the security of US personnel?

Would be interesting to know if a waiver was in place in this instance.

So, I read those and see a bunch of "we should do what we already were supposed to do" or suggestions for further thought.

Close enough for government work.

There's a big difference between recommendations and implementations. Those are just fancy words for concept and execution, in case you were wondering. I'm happy to see the State Department has investigated the issue, but has the investigation been approved and/or implemented? That's the question that needs to be answered. If it's being debated, that's perfectly acceptable, because it's part of the review process before approval. Don't confuse doing something with talking about doing something, though.

As for your other challenge, I already did that this past Tuesday. ;)

It doesn't matter what you personally wrote months ago. He said "that's what republicans were so up in arms about" not you. The GOP was pushing this scandal only to have it blow up in their faces. Pretty soon we're going to be back to this birther nonsense because all the other supposed scandals will be gone.

From the article: "US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has accepted all 29 recommendations contained in the report."

Now, if she didn't actually do these things, and lied under oath, wouldn't Issa be asking for perjury charges right now? Unless he's part of the cover-up...

Two your second point, I meant with someone else, not by yourself in your mom's basement! :D

Re: 2nd Term Part 5: Big Brotha

I'll ask again cause the RIGHT never answers it.

How much freaking money do you people want to spend on protecting a few Americans in a war zone??

How much is enough?

Why do we have so much money for that and loans to Sugar Farmers but we don't have any money for anything else?

I await your answer.

This is something the GOP has really fallen off on from their Lee Atwater days. The trick is to trump up a scandal, then move on quickly to something else before it has a chance to be disproven in public. Cons stayed with these stories way too long, and once the truth came out they look petty at best and treasonous at worst! Two months ago I knew a couple of older conservatives (not on this board) that thought SURE Obama was going to have to resign. Haven't heard much from them lately....

It was with someone else, doofus. And not related to me, either. Here's an even bigger shocker for you: she asked for the date! I know it might surprise you that sociopaths can actually do that sort of thing. ;):p

You're in charge, at least according to Grover's gloating, so shouldn't you have those answers? ;)

Wow, those older cons were not very perceptive. Obama doesn't have to resign, and why would he? He wants to be in the history books, but I'm pretty sure not for that. Of course, based on what was done to the Presidential historical records on whitehouse.gov, looks more like he wants to BE the history books, but that's beyond the point. OK, so he doesn't resign, and let's just say Congress decides to go through the removal proceedings. They'd never get through it. There aren't enough votes in the Senate to take him out.

Hey I started my own religion, so I really can't fault the guy.

Roverology, in case you were curious and wanted to join my cult, I mean, denomination...
