Re: 2nd Term - Part 3 - Echo Chambers, Chorales, and Wingnuts, Oh My!

That sentence you just posted does not specify when.

It was implied that the next day the market would crash and would not recover because the damage would be so severe. Bear in mind, this wasn't supposed to make sense - it was supposed to scare people into being against the health care proposal.

If this is what a crash looks like, a bull market must be a sight to see....

I see you only did the last three years. Didn't we have to start reading PPACA in 2009? Also, you are not taking Operation Twist or the QEs into account.

The vote on PPACA was Sunday, March 21, 2010. The market reacted by going up 40 points that Monday.

But hey, you want four years? OK, we'll do 4 years.

Re: 2nd Term - Part 3 - Echo Chambers, Chorales, and Wingnuts, Oh My!

The main reason the market has been going up is the Fed's low interest rate policy. Treasury Bonds don't pay much of anything. Savings accounts don't pay much of anything, Bernanke has pretty much forced the public into the stock market. If you put money into gov't bonds or savings accounts, you lose ground to inflation.

A Country Founded by Geniuses but Run by Idiots

If you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for entering and remaining in the country illegally — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you have to get your parents’ permission to go on a field trip or to take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you MUST show your identification to board an airplane, cash a check, buy liquor, or check out a library book and rent a video, but not to vote for who runs the government — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If the government wants to prevent stable, law-abiding citizens from owning gun magazines that hold more than ten rounds, but gives twenty F-16 fighter jets to the crazy new leaders in Egypt — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If, in the nation’s largest city, you can buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not one 24-ounce soda, because 24-ounces of a sugary drink might make you fat — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If an 80-year-old woman or a three-year-old girl who is confined to a wheelchair can be strip-searched by the TSA at the airport, but a woman in a burka or a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If your government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to spend trillions more — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If a seven-year-old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher is “cute,” but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government regulation and intrusion, while not working is rewarded with Food Stamps, WIC checks, Medicaid benefits, subsidized housing, and free cell phones — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If the government’s plan for getting people back to work is to provide incentives for not working, by granting 99 weeks of unemployment checks, without any requirement to prove that gainful employment was diligently sought, but couldn’t be found — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself the newest big-screen TV, while your neighbor buys iPhones, time shares, a wall-sized do-it-all plasma screen TV and new cars, and the government forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If being stripped of your Constitutional right to defend yourself makes you more “safe” according to the government — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

What a country!

Mookie?

Re: 2nd Term - Part 3 - Echo Chambers, Chorales, and Wingnuts, Oh My!

So, how about that party of family values and fiscal responsibility re-electing a guy that embezzled taxpayer money to visit his mistress in South America.

Mookie is Jeff Foxworthy?

No, Mookie cuts and pastes garbage like that.

You realize that wasn't written by Jeff Foxworthy, right? It was written by Fritz Edwards and was originally titled "Channeling Jeff Foxworthy" but whatever.

probably still better than most of the people the left elects each season...

Whatever helps you sleep at night
I like how no one really calls for politicians to quit when they screw up on the left. This guy took a break didn't he? He stepped away from politics and now he's back. Hilary Clinton still has a political career after Benghazi but you're worried about some politician trying to cover up an affair?

People on the left aren't hypocrites who preach family values while lying about going hiking on the Appalachian Trail so they can sneak off to South America to visit their mistress. They don't demagogue against homosexuality then get busted trying to pick up guys in a Minneapolis rest room.

If you want to bring up Benghazi, make sure you mention the numerous attacks that have occurred under other administrations that had Congressional inquests...oh right...there aren't any.

Anthony Weiner laughs at your insinuation. And all he did was send a photo of his dick. He didn't waste taxpayer money to fly to South America.

And no one gives a fark about benghazi except for Fox News and those who watch it. You can keep trying to make it a scandal, but it just looks like a snipe hunt to the rest of us.

So if you openly admit that you don't preach family values, who are you to call me or anyone else on the right a hypocrite for voting for the person who best represents me, which obviously not the liberal, despite most anyone's shortcomings? Politicians are all slimy, if they weren't they wouldn't be politicians. I wish more practiced what they preach but that's the world we live in. Adultery is might be a sin but it isn't against the law and republicans aren't the only ones that give in to that temptation when offered the opportunity.

because you agree with those in charge politically, what would you be saying about the Bush administration if Benghazi happen on their watch? Priceless where is the chart on deaths of US Ambassadors? Despite attacks, none of them have been killed since I believe 1979. That is a pretty big deal and despite what all of you might think, that would have sunk Condoleeza Rice.
