Canada and Sweden both made changes to beautiful, classic jerseys that were not needed. When I bought my swedish jersey, I went to ebay because I wanted the actual royal blue, not the "so dark navy it looks black" crap they have now. Canada is also using black way too much

Apparently, Alysa Liu was heavily recruited to skate for China in 2022 ala Eileen Giu but her father, who was exiled from China after being a protester in Tiananmen Square, shut that down. They were subsequently harassed pretty heavily the Chinese Government to the point that Liu almost didn't go to the Olympics in 2022.

Fun fact: her father is a lawyer here in the Bay Area and is the opposing counsel to my wife in one of her cases. He's usually not a divorce lawyer but is doing so just in this case; I guess he knows the people and they're Chinese so it helps he can communicate with them, or something like that. She says he's an OK guy, though he's been a bit distracted for obvious reasons.
