2026 Elections: To the Midterms and Beyond!

Man.....mssed it by one day. Massive flooding (for Florida, meaning lots of roads with water over the curbs) today here in ruby-red Brevard County. Depending on location, rainfall totals of 10-18 inches being reported since midnight last night. If only that could have happened tomorrow, with all those GOP fools who like to vote on election day stuck at home!

Still coming down, though, so fingers crossed.....

The Fuhrer is speaking at the Reflecting Pool. Telling everyone how great he, his administration, and all Republicans are. Only the Dumb and Stupid believe it. So, over 50% of the country.

Don't be so sure about this though, cuz the Poors vote disproportionately on Election Day in person, and the FL black Poors are all Dems.

It depends. Did the Republicans win? Then no need to extend or reschedule. Did the Democrats win? Then clearly they need to reschedule the date to account for this exigent "act of God". Also, the Democrats probably cheated using Soros' weather machine. ;)

Started seeing "stop fraud vote republican " signs, Burst out laughing then I thought that will ring true to so many dipshits up here

Final NYT/Siena polls:

TX Talarico +7
MI Al-Sayed +11
ME Jackson +6
IA Turek +1
OH Brown +5
KS Hamilton +5
AK Pertola +2

Enten says if the polling aggregates are correct with no Republican underrepresentation the Dems could pick up 7 seats, including 5 where Dump won by 10 against Harris, to give 54-46. I have too many scars from prior trauma to believe that will happen. But it's nice to hear.

Apparently SC and MS are within the margin of error, just for jollies.

Another fun fact: per Gallup, a plurality of voters believe their own Congressional representative does not deserve re-election for the first time in all their polling history dating to 1935.

SCOTUS just told Dump to go fuck himself on his CA ballot bullshit.

Dump is now 0-28 on this round of election denial / coup ratfuckery.

Evidently his next moves, if things go well for democracy Tuesday, will be:
  • refuse to accept state certification of results (directly contrary to Constitutional law)
  • refuse to seat the newly elected Members (has no legal power to do so unless he declares the states seditious and in revolt). Fun fact: this type of action led directly to the English Civil War in 1642, and was one of the chief charges for which Charles I was convicted and executed.

The Alaska statewide races are a bit fragmented, something totally befitting the state.

The Senate race is obviously running very close but the House and Governor races are in two totally different directions.

In the House race Republican incumbent Nick Begich is polling ahead though it’s probably tighter than expected. Independent Bill Hill is not being helped by the presence of a “Democrat” on the ballot who’s in Federal prison and doesn’t even live in Alaska but has had mysterious support from GOP aligned groups for his court cases (because it’s only cheating when Democrats do it).

The Gubernatorial race is a complete opposite. At this point the major question is if Democrat Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins will get 50% on the initial ballot and avoid the RCV tabulation. The other three GOP candidates are a great example of garbage in, garbage out. A failed and deeply unpopular former Anchorage mayor, a deeply unpopular former Attorney General, and a “popular only with MAGA crazies” former radio host who has more failing businesses than baby daddies (and she was the top GOP candidate).

Voted early tonight.

Republicans are so butt hurt by losing, they put a proposal on the ballot to allow the recalling of our city mayor by a simple majority vote following a recall petition with signatures that total 20% or more of the total votes cast for mayor.

Haley: "this is what happens to women." No, Haley, you acted like Regina George and got hit by a bus.

This is what happens to tratorious, self-absorbed, bigoted, genocide-adjacent women. And the same that happens to similar men. As it should.

I was amazed she didn't immediately play the woman card. It is hilarious when these charlatans do since it exposes they have no idea what is behind the claim of being biased against. They genuinely do not get that "I won't put up with your bullshit" still counts even if you're a woman. Same crap happens with black conservatives.

Karma has a sense of humor.

The campaign for Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed reported raising more than $2.4 million Sunday after his former primary rival announced a bombshell endorsement of the Republican nominee.

Rep. Haley Stevens’s last-minute endorsement of Mike Rogers, two days before Election Day, triggered a mass exodus of her office staff, widespread condemnation from Democratic officials — and a massive outpouring of support for El-Sayed.

El-Sayed’s campaign reported more than 65,000 individual donations on Sunday, nearly half of which came from first-time donors, according to campaign spokesperson Cole Wozniak. The average donation was roughly $37, contributing to a single-day fundraising haul, according to the campaign.
