2026 Elections: To the Midterms and Beyond!

CNN calls TX for Talarico and OH for Brown.

Amazing these (and SC) are being called before ME, MI and MN.

Boy did I underestimate the D’s performance in the senate.

We have a Democratic Senator now representing Kansas, Texas, South Carolina, possibly Mississippi, possibly a Democratic-leaning Independent in Nebraska. I think it’s safe to say most of us underestimated the D’s performance in the Senate.

It looks like some of the seats TX GOP took voters from to fill their gerrymanders are going to flip. This is addition to every gerrymandered seat going to D anyway.

Which is what people were telling them before they did it. They moved so many certain red votes out of the districts, that those districts now became competitive.

They could've called the race for Sand hours ago.

Call for Turek will likely follow soon. There simply aren't enough votes left to swing it to Hinson.

Looks like the Dems will get 3 house seats, the senate seat, the governor's mansion, the AG, and possibly retain the state auditor (Sand's current position).
GOP will get one house seat, the Ag sec, the Sec of State.
The state treasurer is too close to call - last I checked it was less than 800 votes separation.
Haven't checked the state leg. Gotta think the Ds will make in roads, but expect a GOP majority still.

There is a non-trivial chance that the Dems will hold a TX trifecta (Gov, State House, State Senate).
