2026 D-III NCAA Tournament Pick'em Quarter Final Games

I don't think anyone would claim that SNC had the second best regular season of any team in the tournament (which is what NPI measures). But they may be playing the second best hockey right now. Problem is they are up against the best tomorrow 😬 It should be a great game.
It's subjective. Hobart is #1 and then you can make an argument about the 7 remaining teams in the field at #2. Good luck to SNC tomorrow. Despite the banter on here, I genuinely want to see Hobart lose.

Respectfully, those voters have been very known to have biases a certain way...and that's why I don't recognize any poll that has the human factor, the NPI is the only thing people have to care about
Agree on all points, except the NPI has no factor for trending at the end of the season.SNC is on their own 8 game streak against some great programs and just came off an(fixed that) “ upset” ( based on NPI) that should have them ready for the Statesmen . I think this could be the best game of the tournament.

SNC hasn't played an away game since the middle of February. UNE was the road team (and NPI "underdog") on Saturday.

In fact, SNC hasn't played outside of Wisconsin since the beginning of December.

They have only played three road games since that series @ Trine in early December. And the majority of one of those road games was played on home ice.

The last week of Pick'em always presents an issue: How to approach a game that requires the results of games played a day or two earlier?

I believe (and that's all that really matters) that there three ways to handle next weekend's games.

1. Have one pick'em for Friday and then launch a second pick'em for the championship game.
2. Have the 2 Friday games listed and then have players just list who they think will be the Champion come Sunday's game.
3. List the 2 Friday games and then list all 4 possible Sunday games. Players would pick winners for each and every game, but only the actual game will be counted.

I am worried if choice 1 might cause problems for folks due to the short time to make their championship game pick, either because they are traveling, or because that have a life.

So, kind players (and even you mean, nasty players) vote now for either 1 or 2 or 3. No words needed, just post the number! You can't say I didn't ask.

Thanks for playing 2026 D-III NCAA Tournament Pick'em!

I think 1 is fine. At least there is a day in between now instead of 24 hours.

That wasn't a very nice thing to say, now was it?

Kidding, but it's hard for me to hate the Hobart program. I've been watching them own Utica for 26 years, and they have always played the game right.

I'm sticking with my prediction of HC sending SNC home unhappy tomorrow night, but all of the remaining field is very good. I don't think that any outcome in this round would be shocking, aside from NU winning by a wide margin at Hamilton.

Hobart only has a .592 winning % against Utica, it's closer than you think, just not lately 😂
