2026-2027 Schedules

My parents live about 40 minutes from Geneva and I went to the 8-1 drubbing a few years ago while in the States for Christmas. That might've been the coldest I've been at a hockey game, and I went to Middlebury's Duke Nelson Arena as a student.

We'll see if I make it to this one or not...
I went to duke nelson arena in Middlebury and I wanted to pour my hot coffee on my shoes to warm them up

Fitchburg State University

Salve Regina
Interesting to see Salve is now hosting an invitational. Not "star studded" by any means with Hiram being the only announced team so far, but a big change of direction after the chaos last season.

I worry about Hiram. I am not seeing them on a lot of people's schedule so far. I wonder if they are going with more club games this year.

Amherst
And if this is to be believed, the NESCAC has moved away from a yearly consistent schedule. This does not match last year's Amherst schedule. Also, if you care, the last two times I mentioned a NESCAC team had their schedule out (Williams and Middlebury) they promptly took their schedules down.

From this you can tell what the NESCAC schedule for Hamilton college is (they're travel partners). Though I think the non-conference schedule is more interesting. I'll note here that there are no non-conference games after the new year tournament. And all of January is all away games. That's going to be a tough schedule for them.

I thought Oswego had a tough start to the season last year. Utica is on murders row. Could be in a deep hole to start the season. Only positive the coach will find out quick what character his team has.
Oswego '88

As has been pointed out, the NPI seems to weigh more heavily W-L than SOS. So you might find out early what kind of team you have, but the process of getting that information may kill you come March.

Getting an NCAA bid is all about winning your tourny- fighting for those three or four at-large bids is chancy stuff. "Forged in the fire of battle" looks good on paper but....

I wonder if any coaches actually run their entire season focusing on maximizing their conference tourny chances?
